Had an interesting chat with a mate who has close ties to the Melbourne footy club this morning. 17 of their best 22 managed around 10 weeks of pre-season training in total after various operations and injury concerns. All stemming from finishing up a bit late last season. Look for them to start coming good imo.

Makes that 3 peat effort all the more outstanding.

Or, conversely, look at them being a bit like Hawthorn circa 2009.
