Considering his position then as a player and leader of the club, he really should have kept his big mouth shut.

WCE's run home: Dogs in melb, Richmond at Pattersons, Melbourne ES, Essendon at pattersons, Brisbane at the gabba and adelaide at pattersons.

We have: Roos, Deas, Freo at pattersons, Hawtorn, Bye and st kilda.

There are pretty much no games that WCE's can lose and there is 2 - 4 games we could lose.

Still feeling that draw to essendon could hurt us.

Carlton have North, Melbourne, Freo in Perth, Hawthorn at Etihad, Bye, St Kilda

We trail the Hawks by half a game with one less to play and lead the Eagles by half a game with one less to play, and have by far the harder draw.

Simply we need to win them all, hope the Dogs upset some applecarts and barrack for Freo again next week.

Agreed, IMO our only shot at making the 4 is to win all of our games, and have the hawks lose at least one game othert than against us.

Making the four isn't the be all and end all, really. We've become so focussed on it on BF. That said we should win every game till the end of the year if we want to go far because those are the standards we'll need to beat to progress in Sept.

Ive already basically resigned myself to 5th spot.

West Coast and Hawthorn would need to seriously scew up to missout on 3rd and 4th spot.

Keeping an eye on 8th spot.

Couple of weeks ago I was torn to shreds for saying Andrew Lovett should be acquited based on the evidence and facts presented.

Today I stand vindicated.
I happen to know a fair bit about the legal system and i believe justice was served today.
You cannot convict a man based on testimony of someone who was so wasted their recollections of events cannot be verified.
Perhaps it's unfair and immoral somewhat for the victim, but there clearly was not enough proof for the jury.
