Re: Trades youd like to see your team make

I think bennell by the end of this year will have cemented a spot in Melbourne's 22, from interest Obeanie1 how many games has ash smith played

Re: Trades youd like to see your team make

Would love to have Justin Bollenhagen at the Crows. Not highly thought of at Fremantle from all accounts, but having seen him before he was drafted and his ability play as a crumming small, he looks a lively sort. The type of player the Crows should look at and take a gamble on.

Freo- Justin Bollenhagen.
Crows- 3rd rounder or Schmidt or Armstrong.

Re: Trade Week and Draft 2011 - Who would you like to see at your club?

1- Don't think our compensation pick would be enough to get Trengove. Would Port accept our 1st rounder (anywhere from 10-16 I would think) + a player like Edwards?
2- Tuck to GWS for an upgrade of picks would be more like our pick 45 for GWS's pick 40.
3- Mitch Morton won't be going anywhere, the club will support him in the short to medium term...

Some very strange trades being proposed by Richmond posters. I can only assume they are joking.

PAFC will either extract a high price for JT or make a stand.

Anyone wanting this gun CHB/Ruck option will need either:

- Top 5-10 pick
- Two First Rounders
- First Rounder & Reasonable Player (FYI, not Edwards)

I hope JT stays at Port. The club needs players like him, Boak etc to stick around.

My Target list:

Alipate Carlile
Zac Smith (Very unlikely)
Mike Pyke or Daniel Currie
Josh Hill

Why would we want another ruckman? If Bailey, Renouf, Hale, Lowden and Roughead are all fit then we already have 2 or 3 at Box Hill. And you want more?

Josh Hill - talented but looks lazy and disinterested.

Carlile - would be very handy but is probably one of the very few players that Port will not be willing to trade.

I think he wants a good ruckman

Re: Trades youd like to see your team make

Kurt Tippet as well as a 4th and 6th Rounder to Brisbane for their 1st pick (likely top 6)

Andy Otton Richard Douglas Chris Knights and a 2nd Rounder to Richmond for a First Round pick (likely top 10)

This gives Brisbane the marquee man they would want to replace Brown, and well as a couple of late sweeteners, whilst the Crows lose a guy that was probably going anyway and can get a top pick for him.

Richmond get 3 blokes who go straight into the best 22 as well as a solid pick for potentially a 4th best 22er. The Crows lose 3 blokes who have seemed to plateaued in the current system and a goodish pick for another top pick.

Re: Trades youd like to see your team make

Those two trades would set Radelaide back years.
4 senior (2 very important) players and a pick around 40 for picks ~6 & ~11?
That's absolutely batshit mental. Especially for a side that'll finish top 6 at worst.

If Mitch Clark's worth 12, Crows could easily demand a top 10 & a top 20 pick for Tippett.

I'd like to trade

If he throws in Dangerfield instead of the 2nd rounder I'm sure we'd think about it. ;)

Re: Trades youd like to see your team make

Are you serious? Tippett is obviously one of the best contested marks in the league, and a tremendous second ruck option. Clark is a career underachiever who is doing something this year because he is their only forward target, which the Crows have five or six options for scoring.

Cheap troll - keep it in the bay.

Re: Trades youd like to see your team make

GP doing some of his finest/poorest work (depending on how you look at it. Head back to the bay ;)

I'm assuming you mean Tippet and Douglas?

I dont see how Douglas is very important, Wright Petrenko Callinan and even Lyons have come in over the pst season or two and played very similar roles. All of which (except Callinan) Have a bigger upside thank Douglas does. He's peaked and is dropping off i fear. Much like Knights and Otton.

Tippet on the other hand is always debatable. I think that what you can get from Jenkins Lynch and McKernan far out weighs Kurt. Especially as you can get it at half the cost.

I'd rather lose these players and take a small step back now if it means signing Danger Sloane Walker etc as well as having a few more top end draft picks.

Re: Trades youd like to see your team make

Wouldn't look at trading Tippett, he won't be leaving this season anyway.

Players on our list I think could be had by other teams if they wanted a trade:
Chris Knights
Brodie Martin
Shaun Mckernan
Aiden Riley
Brad Symes
James Craig
Sam Martyn
Dylan Orval
Will Young

Re: Trades youd like to see your team make

Knights, Martin, Mckernan and Symes have been playing very well in the SANFL. As soon we start to get injuries and/or players start to lose form you will see these guys come back into the team and play well. The only reason that they aren't playing already is because everyone in 22 is playing exceptionally well (shown by our current position on the ladder relative to that of the Lions:eek:).

Mckernan, Martin, Riley and Young (when healthy) in particular are great young players with upside. A lack of first team opportunities might mean that they could start to look elsewhere. Our list is incredibility well balanced at the moment so I'm not looking to trade any of these players, however, if someone showed an interest I could see a deal being struck.

Re: Trades youd like to see your team make

players I would like Hawks to attempt to get

Kane Lucas
Shaun McKernan (future replacement for hale, the backup ruckman/forward)
Alex Silvagni
Lachlan Keefe
Jarrad Redden
Koby Stevens

If we make an attempt at getting any of these players i will be happy :D

Re: Trades youd like to see your team make

Tippett, now, is playing far far far better than Mitch Clark was last year (namely, poop).
Which is what I was referring to.

He'll slot 45-50 this year, no problems - a focal point who takes contested marks, and capable in the ruck (although not as good as Clark there) = worth an absolute bucketload on the trade market.
Cheapies or not.

why would you compair tippett of this year to clark of last year?!? would have thought clark this year would be a fair comparision but whatever helps your argument I guess.

Because Clark was traded last year... so that's the only time we can actually get an idea of what his trade value is...

Re: Trades youd like to see your team make

Would like to see what Silvia would cost, put it this way in a side with a strong worth ethic he could be elite. With Watson and Stanton copping our tags, I would love Silvia in our midfield.
