The news is all suitably vague at this point. I wonder if it’s as simple as if we win he’ll probably go out on top; but if we lose he’ll see out his contract next year and go from there.

It’s been said by various players and staff that Joe actually took the GF loss harder than most; so it’s clearly important to him to win one.

I don’t even wanna imagine a forward line without him there next year given the alternatives and therein lies my issue, we shouldn’t be thinking about that the night before the biggest game of the year. That’s my annoyance with Cleary running with it now.

Anyway like others have said, the club would’ve known about this, so like them we just all have to put it to one side and go try and win a pretty important game tomorrow.

Fogarty is just about the only viable option in the next 2 years. I’d like someone better too, but I think he’s on the list.
