You know i thought the salt levels around Geelong couldn't get any worse but some how they have and it isn't just driven by one club it is a mixture of them all of course with the usual suspects at the front of the cue.
It’s absolutely hilarious, astounding, but still hilarious.

On the other hand, it’s sad there are so many ignorant people.

I explained to a Richmond fan, who was screeching (we have no salary cap + we wanted MFC to give us their first round picks) that nine players had left. Added we’re a destination club, players accept lower salaries etc. He replied ‘BLOCKING’
🤣 🤣 🤣

Cotton On make under the table payments, all the usual fruitcake reasons.

I think Geelong is hated more than Collingwood, Hawthorn, Essendon, Carlton + Port - all put together.

Obviously we’re doing something right 😻

Not making any insinuations here. Just one for the history buffs. Has there ever been a year where the sexiest player in the league and the unsexiest player in the league joined the same club in the one off-season?
Geelong 1999 - David Spriggs and Cameron Ling. You decide which is which

In 2022 Hawk kicked 67 goals, was just 5 short of another Coleman, and was AA captain.

To retire off the back of that would've been not just extraordinary, it would've been unprecedented.
Let’s be clear: nobody was suggesting he retire at that stage.

There is only one person who can fix that.
Arguable. The right supports and expertise can play a big part. And the point remains: you don’t bring him in unless you are confident it will be fixed.

Hawkins being floated as a Joe Daniher replacement for a year at the lions on SEN haha. How would we feel

I've seen some Freo fans suggest they should try and get Hawkins for a couple of seasons

Not sure what those making these suggestions think Tom & the family are going to do with family farm while he moves interstate to play for another club

Oliver (as is being reported) 100% now wants to move to Geelong. His manager has informed the club and also informed Melbourne of their clients wishes to seek a trade.

And Geelong think they can get a deal done on "favourable" terms. This no doubt includes Melbourne paying a reasonable portion of Oliver's remaining contract. I think $700-$800k pa is around the level Geelong are prepared to carry moving forward, and that's well and truly something the club can carry within the cap.

More information will come to light in the next few days but I think Cal Twomey is on the money ........."this is now a problem of Melbourne's doing". We are fast approaching the stage of "no turning back" for Melbourne and I think the player will get his wishes.
Melbourne look like they are coming around to the idea he might be out the door.

He’s 28, not 22 - he should not be doing shit like he does. It’s too baked in for mine.
So the logical extension of this is that Geelong, the best in the business at this caper, is happy to go chips in on a player that they believe will continue to behave in this way.
