The AFL introduced free agency at the end of the 2012 season, giving players another vehicle where they can transfer from one club to another. Free agency is a common form of player movement in major football and sporting codes around the world.

Free Agency Opens: Friday October 4 at 9.00am
Free Agency Closes: Friday October 11 at 5.00pm

Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period​

Trade Period Opens: Monday October 7 at 9.00am

I agree the young man has been disappointing at times.

But players that step up in preliminary finals are worth every xent.

Yeah I was 50/50 whether to pick Rohan or Henry. But heaps of young players struggle when they're playing a difficult position and dealing with injuries like he was midseason. Not many turn around and dominate finals.

Trade 15 to Gold Coast for 20 and 26. Every club from pick 13-20 is an interstate team at this stage lol. I say ffk it, make the trade anyway and offer bulldogs pick 20 and 35 for Smith and keep 26

While I understand clubs want the highest $$$ for trading players, to satisfy relevant parties, common sense must prevail.

Certainly do need to include it into their expectations.

I'm sure mackie will remind them of this. They will have no choice but to accept what they are given. He's not worth what they think he is.

It could be that he’s not confident Geelong can get a deal done.

Reports are that Geelong are only offering a first and some change which Sam Power has gone on record saying “not even close”.

A deal will most likely get done, but Geelong have to start trading in good faith.

Forget extending him, needs to show up for a full year before we think about doing that, couple of good finals games doesnt deserve an extension. Many on here wanted dropped throughout the season me included.

He had hamstring soreness issues during the year and wasn't training much. Came good when it counted.

I wasn't worried about ollie Henry during the year. Kind of just hoped he'd find some form.

But his prelim showed to me that he cant stand up. (at this stage)
So I'm now a tad worried.

He could have made a big difference in the prelim. He had the opportunities.

I think there is a 1% chance of your scenario occurring. Such little chance it’s really not worth worrying about.

Come on man that’s a terrible call. 15 touches 4 goals and 10 score involvements. He was great and clearly one of if not our best. Coaches agreed

I think it doesn't happen because Geelong will still offer something better than nothing.
