Here's 2024 Provisional AFL Draft Order

Cheers to Lore for their hard work in setting this up, and making it available for all users on BF to use and keep track of the picks ahead of the upcoming draft - and please practice patience grasshoppers if it's not updated in the immediate aftermath of completed trade

I'll also sticky this post to ensure it's easily accessible for discussion of our hypothetical trader

Also,

2024 Free Agency Period

The AFL introduced free agency at the end of the 2012 season, giving players another vehicle where they can transfer from one club to another. Free agency is a common form of player movement in major football and sporting codes around the world.

Free Agency Opens: Friday October 4 at 9.00am
Free Agency Closes: Friday October 11 at 5.00pm

Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period

Trade Period Opens: Monday October 7 at 9.00am
Trade Period Closes: Wednesday October 16 at 7.30pm

If you thought there was a very good chance he could move at the end of ‘25 you’d have to take it.

Its all theoretical…as Carltons are reported to be welded to this draft. I doubt they trade out both picks...

but your point is valid…. as getting two picks for him next year is not the same as two picks for him this year. (for example)

Off him an extension.. He would be attractive to Tass if his contract went thru to when they start adding players….when is that 27…or 28 ?

Bruhn and Clark are similar. Both average midfielders who should get to C/B Graders. Main issue is the one pointed out already in which they need to soak up midfield time in the AFL to develop as the cant play any other position. Already cost us a flag this year when we were basically a man down with Bruhn playing in the prelim and got smashed in the midfield
Must make you an F grade poster, seriously are you able to move onto something else, we get your point, however degree of wrong it turns to be.

Lol Cameron literally has no ego at all, he goes about his job and outside he’s a top bloke

Jez was a guy who was into Swimming and Golf as a kid, he only came into footy late.
He didn’t even think he’d be playing pro footy until Scouts had to tell him he could actually pursue it as a career, he was looking at going into doing a trade (makes sense, seems like an very outdoorsy guy).
About as blue collar and blokey as someone can be

And that extends to on field as well, he’s about as laid back at footy as can be? How TF is that ego?

Was it this clown who called up?

I see there's been some movement on the trade tracker....

Oh, it's just pick swaps so Brisbane can hit their arbitrary points target for their two top 5 players.

Roaring first week of the trade period.
If this first week doesn't prove that it lasts way to long people aren't paying attention

They literally will have two no-1 picks in the last 3 years in their midfield after top 4 finishes.. Never seen anything like it tbh

Both ashcrofts are def no1 picks, regardless of position due to academy or fs

With Gawn caring so much about Oliver any chance he wants to come down the highway for a couple of years too?

Definitely!

Gawn will agree to a lower salary + MGC will pay 85% of his salary 😻
