What company would be suitable of his ilk.Tabcorp is not the most prestigious organisation for someone of his ilk. The fact he couldn’t get something a little more high status says something about the man….

Not sure if there is an existing thread for this.
This is absolutely disgraceful
Kids are who the parasites are after, old gamblers die and have to be replaced, even worse having Nathan Brown tell the kids who to put in your multiOh 100%. It’s such a shame, every second ad on TV especially in primetime viewing when kids are watching - with only the tiniest disclaimer at the end.
Heard kids behind me about 15 years old or so talking about odds for anytime goal scorers. Couldn’t believe what I was hearing sadly
They found that when the person's partner was a gambling addict, the odds of intimate partner violence increased 10.5 times

Really? I never knew that. I can't say I ever heard anyone on Sky Channel use it either. And they were based all over Australia. It's been on betting slips for over 20 years in Victoria.

What value?
This is a really naive take.
By banishing the "gambling overlords" they would simply be replaced by even worse underground gambling overlords.
Market percentages for a sports result or a horse race. They are progressively getting worse. And the worse they are, the less value to the customers, the faster they lose their cash
Should we legalize illicit drugs? Assault rifle ownership?
If the arguement against banning a problem is "People will just do it illegally, and even worse!" then the solution must be to legalize everything right?
Much like cigarettes, gambling advertising is insanely out of control. and it should be curbed, if not stopped. No more sponsorships for NRL teams, no more advertising at stadiums, no TV advertising before 9pm or whenever the MA15+ cutoff is on FTA.

There have been varied results from other parts of the world, but I'm in favour of controlled rather than criminalised drugs in many cases, especially marijuana which is very widely used, and often ignored by police. There are extremely strong arguments for legalizing a lot of drugs in a controlled manner. Certainly would destroy most organized crime syndicates.
People aren't illegally buying assault rifles in large numbers so it's not an issue that needs to be changed.
Tabcorp CEO Gillon McLachlan has ordered his staff back to the office five days a week as part of a broad reset designed to create “a winning culture” and lift company performance, joining Amazon in the latest salvo over the work from home battle.
The new policy, which affects more than 1500 office-based employees across its Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane offices, was flagged by McLachlan in a video update a few weeks ago but confirmed by Tabcorp’s executive team in an all-staff email on Monday.
Jesus Christ ..says it all.
