If he isn't sprinting tomorrow forget it, we aren't playing North

That's not what we are discussing, you said if he is out keep him away from the team?

If Mills is out , this will be unpopular but I'd bring Adams in , drop Fox and make Campbell sub.

Then send Adams to Neale.

Too risky with Brisbane's forwardline, seems very small. Probably need Fox's height to play on a Rayner or a Bailey

Risky? I didn't propose I go to Neale

Purely and simply as I don't trust Horse not making a silly late change

Seriously might ship you back to Essendon, we haven't won a flag since you joined us 😂

Too risky having you here 😛

Rayner will get Rampe.

Bailey is only 182cm.

I'm not sure who gets that match up though, would have thought Florent or Lloyd but they have been great in the wing.

Maybe, I'd have thought Rayner would be a little too quick for Rampe, he can do it, but Rayner is as quick as a mid. Those two matchups we HAVE to get right and I'm not sold which way we go. The Daniher/Hipwood ones are obvious those two are harder

Horse on Thursday ..

"Callum, Taylor who wants to go for a drive? opens door.

"That's the boot horse"

"trust me get in"

Slams boot shut and drives towards Sydney harbour.

"Sorry just can't trust myself not to pick you Callum"

Muffled voices "what about me?" screams Taylor.

"I just don't like you, didn't vote you in the norm smith in 2018"

Horse jumps from the car , as it slides into the harbour .

He wipes his hands together and smiles thinking it's all sorted.

The Swans doctor appears running frantically.

"Horse, Horse , Horse it's Millsy , his hamstring is 100% according to the scan and we have 2 late injuries so need him and Taylor in the side, you seen them anywhere?"

" Nooooooo" screams Horse.

Andrew Dillon appears, "I just gave 3 votes to Patrick Cripps "

On 360 the coaches McRae & Hardwick have picked Brisbane.
On the Couch are very pro Brisbane.
Saying if Lions stop Heeney we can’t win.

Didn't watch the shows but if they are anything like the rest of the media, finals are all about momentum.
Western Bulldogs popular pick with the momentum, well until they lost, then Hawthorn clear momentum, until they exited, then Geelong......now Brisbane.

Although to give them credit Brisbane did come back from a poor start to finish 5th on the ladder.
On the other hand we only lead the table pretty much throughout the season, finishing 10 points and % ahead of the Lions.

And since our inglorious Rd 21 game v Port we have P5 W5 with a % of 130.6, Brisbane P6 W4 % of 109.1.

Of course maybe the argument is that Brisbane have played 3 sudden death finals and are 'match hardened'.
We on the other hand had a tense tough encounter with GWS, a week off and then an extended training run v Port.
Arguments can be made either way, but I for one prefer our less stressful (physically and mentally) preparation and our lack of travel doesn't hurt either.

Questions on McDonald and Mills, but otherwise essentially a clean bill of health for the rest.
Brisbane have lost their #1 ruck and have long term absentees in Coleman,Gardiner and McCarthy. All 4 played in last year's GF, with 'Kiddy' in particular important with his run.
Zorko has done well in that role this season, with fine support from Wilmot. JJ to step up to the plate again.

O. Mcinerney played all but 1 game this season ( a 54 point loss v GWS in Canberra).
In his absence Fort competed relatively well in the ruck (27 HOs, 5 clearances). For GWS Briggs had 34 &8, but crucially 8 I50s to 2 and double the metres gained.

This is Brodie's moment to shine.
Less concentration on/engagement with the oppo ruck and more focus on the ball and run/spread.

We had 4 players in the AA team, Errol, Chad, Isaac & The Liz.
Crucially all dynamic players.
Stop 1, I'm tipping the others to stand up.

Going to go out on a limb and say I fancy our chances.

I feel it's worth remembering that you can't focus on shutting down one player individually... 22 times over.

We can rattle off a list of names of dangerous opposition players in pretty much every top 8 team but if you worry too much about stopping them then you'll never get anywhere.

Identify the one or two players you think will have the biggest say on the game, and try and stop them. The rest surely we trust our players around the ground to win their match-ups? They're all pretty good, no?

If we get the game on our terms then their weapons will be diminished somewhat by simply chasing tail anyway.

I actually think Brisbane's most important players are in their back 6.

They've been smashed with injury to defeners (Kiddy Coleman, Tom Doedee, Darcy Gardiner) .... but they've covered it really well.

In my view - Andrews, Starcevich, Wilmot and Zorko might be the deciding factor. If they all play well, we could be in strife.

Starcevich in particular has been a brick wall of late.

Andrews sets up half if not more than their scores, whoever plays on him (was Amartey last time and I hated the matchup) has to be doubly defensive against him. I'd actually play Hayward maybe in a defensive role against him. Wilmot is a jet love him.

I'd rather we play Fox in defence. When you look at their forward line of Ah Chee, Bailey, Rayner, Cameron and Lohmann you want someone who can run through defence.

JJ should be able to take on Neale.

Go in unchanged is my vote, but move Campbell to the sub

JJ will go to Zorko lock it in Eddie. His best roles have been on the half backs who push into the middle, that means Zorko, if they go a mid it would be McCluggage surely.
