I was fortunate enough to attend both of our GF's but I didn't see Kirkies speech. I was seated in the row immediately behind the WCE cheer squad (to this day I think it was a sick joke by someone at Ticketmaster to put an entire row of Swans fans directly behind the opposition cheer squad) so, for obvious reasons, I took off when the final siren went and while I have watched a replay of the game a few times now, I've never been able to bring myself to watch the aftermatch ceremonies.

Look, it doesnt matter how much a side loses by in a grand final. The point is that they lost. Geelong proved that they were the best side of the year and we have to all face up to that fact. I havent lost any respect for the Power as they do have a young side and it can be daunting on them playing in a grand final and the nerves can get the better of them.

Urgh. Don't get me started on Tredrea... despite his effort today. I hate him. The bowing gesture he made last week against the Kangaroos was simply disgusting and ignorant.

I have no problems with players celebrating goals per se, it was the manner in which he went about it that was offensive. It was very derisive to the Kangaroos' and their fans.
I notice the Geelong players managed to celebrate their numerous goals on Saturday without offending anyone.

Ask any fair minded supporter of either club, and see the over riding theme in this thread and a similar one on the Eagle board if they respect each other.

Of course if after I have professed my admiration for Kirk and your team and the best you can do is quote one portion to disagree with me, perhaps you have seen the worst of both teams supporters.

Don't worry about Bloods. He is in the cynical bucket and is a cynic too boot. I don't think he enjoyed the 05 Grand Final as a few days later he was on RWO trying to down play our flag and every time we loose he is the first online telling everyone "I told you so"

Please ignore him and continue with the good nature of this thread.

I see more vitriol directed by on-line Swans supporters toward West Coast players and supporters than against all other teams combined. Go and have a look at RWO for example!

I wouldn't believe anything ChikoRoll/Diego says - he's a lunatic who has been banned more times than everyone else put together and his hatred of all things West Coast is near pathological.

What's particularly funny is that:
(1) He says that he is ignoring me and I should ignore him and stop chasing him - yet he was the one responding to me.
(2) One of his last posts on RWO about 'his club' was:
"Whats the point? We won't get far and if we do would be the biggest fluke since Adelaide won it in 97.
I would rather us not play in the finals."
(3) This was his comment on Cousins earlier in the year:
"So whats there to sympathise with a 29 year old head case who knew what the outcome of his action would have?" and
"I have no sympathy for people who take ICE let alone a west coast eagle player who is a headcase."
