Interesting to hear lloydys comments on kennedy during footy classified. Believes goldsack will play on kennedy but will get towered. Wreckons goldsack is a great player in his own right but isnt a tier 1 backmen. Was dominated by riewoldt on friday which wasnt an easy task.No doubt with a fully fit collingwood squad he wouldnt be the first option. Possibly reid? Curious to know how confident the collingwood faithfull are in his ability come GF day?

Good, let the "experts" dismiss him. Hopefully the Weagles treat him with similar disdain.

Glodsack kicked the first in the replay. Lifted the team. Will be important on Saturday. I remember so vividly the match against Adelaide in Rd 4 this year, after that blistering first half I knew we had turned a corner. A GF is well beyond what I thought we were capable of this year but I knew our flag window was about to open after that game. Winning in Saturday would be imo, our greatest achievement in my lifetime. Was at the game as a 13 yo in 2002 and thought we were going to do it. Heartbroken afterwards. Make no mistake there are no guarantees of another GF next year or one after. This is our chance. West Coast are beatable but will be our toughest assignment. Bring it home boys.

There was no disrespect in the discussion. They were adamant hes a good player which i think we can all agree on. Just seen as a missmatch given collingwoods lack of options at the moment. Similarly to last week when cox towered rance in the marking contest. Rance is a top tier backmen. Just doesnt match well against cox if the ball coming in is popped up.

2 things.

Goldsack is an underrated back man. He can handle Kennedy

Secondly, and most importantly, Rance can not play that accountable role. Now that we have found him out, watch him next year.

Rain might not play too much a factor as the G has great drainage. But looking like lowest temp GF for years. Approx 13 degrees and above 40% chance rain (so far).

Rain, hail or shine, I hope our boys all say that Cup is mine and win it for themselves. Then we can ride that wave of elation with them.
The Eagles loved the cold in Hobart round 19.

Watch the Eagles go into their shells if the Pies bang a few quick goals on the board. The fear of losing two Grand Finals in four years will set in very quickly. I think we win this easily. Pies by 43.

You must sell the best drugs in town.:p

It's all about Robert Kiwosaki's international best seller 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' re. No doubt you've read it re.

You can be a dentist mechanic labourer or whatever re.. it's not about 9-5 re. It's about about making money whilst your sleeping re. A decent share portfolio.. futures and options and shit re.. intellectual property like patents.. residential/commercial property development etc.

F great re.

Just a couple of observations: Firstly, I don't get Collingwood supporters wanting rain. We are a high possession side and so rain would be about the last thing we want. Secondly, I read a number of people concerned over how Coxy was nullified last time we met the Eagles. I managed to catch something on the TV the other day (don't even ask me who or what show) but it was being discussed that Coxy has been taking private tuition on body positioning and leading skills since that game and as a direct result of it. I think that showed very clearly against Richmond. To me it's all about our mids. Get the job done in the middle, lower the eyes and we're half way home.

Big forward struggle on grand final day IMO. Unless keenedy is clunking everything in packs I’m Not to worried. Anything on the lead Reid is to slow.

Reid got injured in the 2010 grand final and 2011 grand final.

Darcy has started 7 games this year and ended up injured in 3.

Would I prefer to have a fit Moore who’s plyed a 3 game block? Yep. But what’s done is done. Between Langdon, Howe and Goldsack I think they can be handled.

Spot on with the rain. Couldn’t agree more. Their just hoping keenedy and darling struggle because of the wet

Goldsack had Kennedy's measure in our first final. It's easy to dismiss that as Kennedy was just returning from injury but it's true none-the-less. It was Goldsacks first game back from a knee also remember. The discussion about team defence is spot on also. Between his effort last time up and our team defence we'll give ourselves a chance.

Just as an aside Lloyd isn't the kindest commentator of Collingwood and has a bias towards key forwards.

If we can keep Kennedy and Darling to 5 goals between them i think thats fine.

The whole pressure is on them now to perform. The whole talk is "They can rip the pies apart"

They'll become predictable. There plan will now shift from their normal game to lets expose the pies small defence. Alright it might come off but hopefully it puts them off their natural game and creates a huge reliance on their talls.

Funny as it sounds I think cox almost has to play a decoy role, no chance he gets a free run at it against the eagles defense. McGovern will have a field day if that'sthe case.

Degoey is the wild card and a lot rest on him. Dont think the eagles have someone that can go with him on the lead

Everyone keeps talking about how Josh Kennedy is going to be clunking Contested mark after Contested mark.

He only averages 1.5 contested marks per game. However, he averages 3 marks inside 50 per game. Which means he generally has space to lead into, and the WCE player strategically place their kicks.

Darling averages 2.5 contested marks per game. Like Kennedy, he averages about 3 marks inside 50 per game.

I’m not sure about you other supporters, but I’d be okay if Kennedy and Darling took 4 contested marks between them even if that meant 4 shots at goal. I’d only be concerned if they had 7+ contested marks between them.
