My mum has shed a couple and now she's moved on to threatening to stab anyone who tells her that they have tickets when they only go to 1 or 2 games a year

I have been a member for over 10 years (I'm 28) and attend all vic games unless I'm on a holiday and attend at LEAST 1 interstate match a year, normally 2. You could say why can't you afford $175 for a September membership?

Well I can't justify a stupid amount of money on the off chance we make it and I wanna sit with my group of friends I attend each match with. They all can't afford a September membership, but go to most games.

4 misses for a guy that has attended literally 95% of matches Inc interstate is shambolic.

Im in Sydney too and in 09 I went to the Alexandria hotel and it was good. Ive been told the Swans club in the cross is good for GF day..

You will be amazed at how many Geelong supporters there are in Sydney

Make sure you are ready on Ticketek (logged in already, barcode/s already typed in Notepad ready to copy across) before midday tomorrow.

The Geelong Cats members' allocation of standing room tickets for the 2011 Toyota AFL Grand Final will be on-sale to the following eligible members to purchase from 12 midday EST, Monday, September 26:
- Home 11*
- Home & Away 16*
- Melbourne 11*
- Silver AFL Geelong Club Support*

* Please note: members who were successful in obtaining a reserved seat via the ballot will not be able to access a standing room ticket (if you entered the ballot please check www.geelongcats.com.au or www.ticketek.com.au from 9am Monday September 26 to find out if you have been successful)

Hey guys, first time I'll be heading to the finals to see the mighty cats play! Just wondering as an Interstate member will I be entitled to first dibs at tickets on Monday morning?

Also will I be able to buy tickets online at this time? Having work I won't be able to line up at a Ticketek and the thought of lining up isn't appealing though given I live in Brisbane it probably won't be as bad as down in Melb/Geelong.

Pumped! Hoping I can buy additional tickets too but you guys aren't giving me much hope so not sure how I'm going to sort tickets for myself and my 3 mates who aren't cats members (but are members of other teams).

Have absolutely no idea, BUT, I'm also interstate, Sydney and going to Melbourne for the weekend, SO, if you can get tickets and have a couple of extras, I'd love to buy them from you. ;

We watch Geelong games at the Light Brigade Hotel in Woollahra, corner of Jersey Road and Oxford Street. It's quite small, but there is a good number of Geelong fans at the Pub. Also, I'm starting a Geelong Cats Sydney Supporters Group. I've met with GFC and we will hopefully be official for the 2012 Season. Probably the main reason for beginning the group is to find a regular spot to watch the games with other passionate Cats' fans.

Any one who is interested in joining the Sydney Cats Supporters Group, please send me your email and we'll add you to the list.

Does anyone know approximately how many standing room tickets will be available just for Geelong members? It's looking like I've missed this year. I've read there's about 5000 standing room for the whole ground - of that about 1000 in the MCC and I'm assuming around 1000 for the AFL reserve. Collingwood members get given standing room tickets as part of their ballot (like what we had in previous years, opting for best available including s/r). I'm guessing they'll split it in half so I'm hoping there's at least 1,500 left for us Geelong members. Does anyone know for sure?

We'll be in Melbourne for the weekend, and now that our magnificent Cats are playing, we're desperate for the "whole" experience.

We're going to the post-GF Cocktail Party, but does anyone know what that really means? Would love to hear about it, from those who have been.

Also, am wondering what the cost of a Premium GF ticket is? Was offered one but I think I'm being fleeced.

'07 was one of the best days of my life, but I can't bring myself to spend ridiculous amounts of money for a bullsh#t package.

I know full well about tickets being sold on here. I started the tickets thread in 09 and ended up getting some at about 10:30pm on the Friday night. Depending on how well the AFL packages sell we might be able to snap one up cheap towards the end of the week through one of our contacts

I've just looked back over my bank statement and I wasn't charged the $4 for the ballot registration however I was given the number. Is there still a chance I may be able to see? I was told to check tomorrow morning to see if I was successful. It all seems a little vague.

Im trying my hardest to get 1 ticket for my dad.. Package is super last resort.. But it probably wont happen. Ive never been to a GF myself but could not go without my dad and if i can only get 1 ticket, I'd prefer it to go to him.. 52 years he has been a geelong supporter and missed out in 07 cause he was deployed in the middle east for work. There is nothing I want to give him more than a ticket to a GF against Collingwood.. If i can manage this, Id be let off the hook for every birthday/christmas LOL
