Yeah I'm the Cyril is fairy rated camp. 4 or 5 flashy things a game is better than Masten/every other 25+ average disposal outside midfielder.
Cyril easily deserved the Norm smith IMO. When the game was one the line his brilliance was the x factor. He did die as the game went on but he still continually gave a contest and brought the ball to the ground, which most shitty fwd talls struggle to do.

Hopefully Harley will be able to do what Sylvia was drafted for and couldn't deliver and thats to give Fyfe the chop out he needs to go forward at important times in the game.Fyfe and Bennell swapping through the mid and forward half will be the thing wet dreams are made of.It makes the lack of a dominant KPF a little easier to deal with.
It's so exciting having Fyfe, Hill, Walters, Bennell, Mundy and Neale playing together. Also expecting Langdon and Weller to step up this season. Sheridan and Sutcliffe should keep improving off half back. Should be a lot of pace, skill and fast ball movement. Can see why we got rid of Crowley. McCarthy would really top it off having someone leading hard at the ball with clean hands and a good finisher.
Watching his highlights again he reminds of me of Scott Pendlebury, seems to have so much time and space when really having hardly any at all, sizes up the situation and makes the best decision. Except with Harley there's more dimensions and is able to pull off a freak, miracle goal out of nowhere. I'm excited to watch him flourish in the best midfield in the league to be honest.

Harley is one of the smoothest moving and silkiest player I have ever seen. He hasn't even reached his peak yet. That's what makes me so excited about this midfield and team that we are building. Fyfe, Mundy, Neale, Hill , And now Bennell, the type of player who ices the cake. Bennell is a finisher and he's going to thrive at Fremantle. I can't wait to see this next year.

I suppose you're talking about raw talent?
Agree completely on that. It's been frustrating to read people think of him as some kind of flaky half forward or outside wingman. He is so much more than that. He can actually be a top five midfielder in the comp, that is his talent.

hes too good in congestion and getting sticky hands on ball not to be a midfielder, hopefully Fyfe can learn how the dude handles the big sticks

what really stood out about his games when looking at our play style is his ability to recieve handballs

Croad - he played good footy here, gets a bad wrap because of the trade
Modra - ummm he kicked 70 goals one year. Hes 8th on our all time leading GC list and he played less then 50 games for us.

What a desperate, desperate deflect. In comparing two players on-field performances what they do off-field has as much relevance as context as how they were raised, their academic records or the framework they adopt to determine their brand of aftershave.

Where did you hear that? Does Harley have any mates at our club already? We don't have any players on our list from his draft besides him.

Bennell is mates with Ballas and Mora from their peel days, Weller from his Gold Coast academy days and most of our indigenous boys.
Don't worry he will be well looked after.
That's great to hear. I forgot all about Mora, any news on him? If he gets fully fit and playing with Bennell, Hill, Fyfe, Neale and Mundy i'll just about drool everywhere.
Afaik Harley is in WA, one of my mates was with him on the weekend
