Makes you wonder what facets come into consideration, 1 side if 5 points of being the highest in points for, the other side is 4th least scoring side in the comp. I'm not putting in the work to calculate but would be interesting to know the % of involvements per team score.

Dempsey and Wilson are both deserving of the award and have been fairly consistent. Reid however has those insane burst games where nobody can stop him. Some of the shit he does at his age is absolute insanity, how is he so strong?
Geelong has scored 30% more points than St Kilda.
Dempsey has 50% more score involvements than Wilson.
You dont think having decent support around him elevates his game?
Reid will obviously be a better player than Dempsey. As he should be as one of the highest hyped #1 draft picks of all time, while Dempsey was a rookie listed player who 4 years ago in school was mainly focussing on his basketball prospects.
I think it’s easier to stand out when you’re surrounded by training cones. I’m not saying he’s a great player, but I’m acknowledging Dempsey’s amazing form. Dempsey will possibly win and it’s wrong to believe he’s unworthy if he does.
When my son was swimming there was a 13 yr old who was insanely bigger than the other kids, then suddenly disappeared after breaking every record, including ages ahead of him.
In the end he couldn’t cope mentally. I feel the WA media has put Reid at risk and contributed to his attitude. It’s insane and I’m not sure why they are doing it.
I guess some young people just develop physically in a freaky way.
I think Reid turned 19 in January and most of the others get drafted at 18.
Its right up there with a COVID flag now
