I think it’s pretty crazy that the player with the greatest finals records ever and greatest singular season ever and also is 8th all time total career Brownlow votes isn’t allowed to get a mention.
I also think people don’t understand the difference between greatest (which implies success and achievements) and best. As you mentioned GAS I’ll use him. Is he one of the best players of all time, yep even top 4 by me. However is he one of the greatest when you look at his achievements? I’d honestly struggle to put him in the top 10.
No Flag from 4 GFs, not a legend, 1 B&F, only 3 Coleman’s, No Brownlow (which matters because Lockett has one as a fwd)
Being in the TOC albeit the bench is super impressive and prevents him from dropping below top 15 imo.
I’m not having a go that’s just what it is. I think I’m actually being pretty fair with this but I’m expecting a laughing emoji from Fadge and Cats supporters on here anyway.

When you look at the overall Resume Mitchell isn’t close and I think he averages less Brownlow votes per game anyway.
Lockett is unlucky with flags and the TOC selection (imo). Hence why he is still my number 2 behind Lethal. He is the only player to win a Coleman and Brownlow in the same year which just something else. I’d say the most difficult achievement in the game.
This of course will change if/when GAJ, Buddy, Dusty become Legend Status.
Sport is unfair, but you look at any sport the GOAT needs to be a “winner” it’s not just about the skill.

They'll be fine, much as it pains me to say it. The trick will be if Clarko can really replicate his Hawthorn recipe of success or if he's another successful coach of times past that might not be the best fit anymore.
They have great young talent, just need to target spine players

2024 - Sheez vs Daics
- More disposals per game
- More marks per game
- More tackles per game
- +13% in DE (Disposal efficiency)
- +20.5% in KE (Kicking efficiency, Daicos is rated as average and Sheezel is rated as elite in both categories btw)
I think both are out and out stars and in the top 15 players competition wide but I fail to see how you can rate Daicos as substantially better.
Just reminding you as well, Sheezel is 19 this year, the same age Nick was in season one. So that would be a fairer comparison, but I’m not trying to be facetious.

Nick is a star but Fadge can’t pull his black and white glasses off for long enough to see that he isn’t head and shoulders above the competition
Daicos did win the Fadgelow last year so that's gotta count for something

Any opportunity to spar with (and easily dispose of) the delusional trio of Sav, Fadge and Pistol Night is an opportunity I’ll seize
Since the facts have been presented, no sign of Fadge. I was waiting for the counter argument which would have made compelling reading
