Harvey seems to have sent Byron into permanent exile this season.

It is a shame because Schammer has been tearing it up inthe WAFL and would certainly add something to the team if he were brought back into the side.

The case for Schammer:

• in great form in the WAFL;
• prolific ball winner;
• well known as a "big game player";
• devastating by foot;
• well known as a great clubman.

extremely dissapointed with the level of schammer hate on this board. i suspect most of the haters have not bothered to watch him in the wafl this year.

thats the problem with ffc and our supporters - we are too fickle. some of the posters in this thread were the ones pumping up schammers tyres 2-3 years ago. how things change.

i remember when schamms last contract came around and he was being chased by SA clubs but he stayed loyal to ffc.

at the end of the day he is just another player who has been burnt by ffc and its supporters. you can add paul haselby to that list as well.

part of the reason we have such a bad culture at the club is that we have a habit of treating our players so badly at the end of their careers. you build culture by having lots of former players around the club...that is what every successful club has done...but not freo. look at how we treated fletcher for example. compare that to the mob up the road who have an entire generation of 92-94 premiership players floating around the club giving advice to the younger players...and in 10 years time the 06 premiership players will be doing the same thing.

I am just saying maybe we can learn something from them. Just becauee we hate them doesnt mean we cant look at what they are doing and admit when they are doing some things better than we are off the field.

Dont ever accuse me of being a weagles supporter. It is tools like you that stop FFC from succeeding. The club is full of naysayers like you...that hold us all back.

The Eagles are about to embark on a massive clubroom refit at Subiaco Oval. How is our refit going? It is stalled with Freo City Council - isnt it great that a financial powerhouse of the AFL like FFC is beholden to the petty mentality, vested interests and NIMBY attitide of the Freo City Council.

When the club is still searching for premiership in 10 years time is will be losers like you that are to blame.
