I remember a night at the Leederville when my then girlfriend (5' tall, 40kg wringing wet) was giving Wayne Carey a mouthful and basically telling him what she thought about him and how he treated Jako during the game, so I went over to get her away from him and shut her up - then a very, very drunk David King staggered over towards me, gave me a nipple cripple, giggled, fell over, then eventually got up and went back to the circle of Roos players. Archer then order me and my gf a drink each, apologised for King, agreed that Carey was wrong to man handle his opponent (I think just to placate my gf) and he wandered back to the boys.
Weird night.

Saw Heath & Reece @ the Harp (seems to be a Collingwood haven off season) and Heath was trying to hook in this this lass, he went off and Reece cut his lunch. Thomas was also there, and while the Shaw's are nice blokes, DT seems to have his head inserted way up his own anus.

Not AFL players but a few months ago I saw the entire Super 14 side of the Stormers at a pub getting smashed merely 3 hours before the game. I was asking them if they are gonna win. And hes like look at us, where gonna get flogged. One of them was real bad. Just before they left they ordered a mess of food and Red Bull and powered it down.
They went on to win that night. Admittedly they were carried by the one of the 3 players who was at the hotel room sleeping. The guy who could barely walk got subbed off 30 mins into the game and didnt return

Saw a heap of St. Kilda players, a Richmond small forward & a 7 time B&F winner all out a night after the Brownlow night one year.
One of the players was as high as a kite, standing in to toilets dancing away chatting to who ever came in.

Also I was sitting outside at a Bar in Fitzroy St and saw Brock McLean stumbling by himself towards Cushion, many lols.

Haha! Iv'e seen Mclean at Cusion when i was down in Melb, Maybe bit was the same night, but i think he was with carrol aswell.

About 6-7 years ago i recall sitting next to a melbourne cup winning jockey from the early 90's at a strip joint. He was absolutely tanked, although we weren't far behind. Remember a girl coming up to offer a lap dance, and greg absolutely slagging her, telling me not to bother paying her and grabbing me on the arm trying to drag me away. I was about skint by this time and told him 'i haven't got any money to give her anyway greg, she can talk to me all she wants really' and he continued to try to drag me away from this bird to the point where we has to push him away and the bouncers escorted him...
As for AFL players, I agree with many here, happy to see them out on the town having a few (even a few too many) so long as the toe the line along with the rest of society. They have a fair biut of pressure on them 24/7 being public figures, so im all for letting their hair down when they have a chance

Saw Roughead at the Hawthorn, me and mate where standing next to the cigerette machine. He walked up asked us if we were using the ATM *points at ciggie machine* I just looked at him for a second then back at the machine, he caught on and just started laughing. Seemed like a good bloke.
Another of my mates (crazy carlton supporter) walked up to Lance Whitnall at Da Beers, he denied being Lance Whitnall, so my mate said Well if you see him, tell him he is a shit footy player. I couldn't stop laughing.

At the Edgy there was a few of the Melbourne boys, Green and Johnstone I remember and TJ was so far off his **** he was attempting to make love to some poor chick on the dancefloor.

in 2003 was out and ended up drinking with a good few of the swans. being an eagles fan i gave them a bit of a hard time but it was all in good fun.... i think... well none of them took exception.
they were all pretty ****ed.

you can catch them on any given night though can't you. especially when booze is in too someone they can change in an instant.
in said night in my above post there was one player (won't name. not playing any more though) who was pretty cool for a good while, but then just went over the top ended up getting himself into a huge blew and got thrown out and generally made an arse of himself. only played a handful of games though.
Comments like this annoy me. Most of them are legally adults, able to make their own decisions and doing it poorly.
Seen Dougy Hawkins, Jason Dunstal,and Peter Daicos legless at a Launceston hotel a few months back ..Dougy had actually picked up .

what is it with hobart clubs? i saw riewoldt and goddard at one myself. well behaved but drinking red cordial drinks that I thought was a bit, well, poncy. Goddard at least looks like a beer man

Went over to my mates Beach House in Sorrento, sipping some Coronas and watching the cricket and 4 blokes walk in via the backyard carrying a slab, Fevola, Merrington, Culpitt & Houlihan. Fevola on the sauce is an A Grade Squeezer.
One of my mates was drinking with Fevola this year and told him to drop the deed wood (who is also on Carlton's list..) and head off to another bar.

One of my mates was in Melbourne a couple months ago and thought that Cam Mooney was his mate he went to the bar with (they do look damn similar) and went up and rubbed his head from behind. Cam turned around and was understandably pretty pissed off despite my mates protests that he thought he was someone else. Cam wanted to take it outside and walked outside to wait for my mate. My mate was shitting himself so went and got security and got them to escort him to a taxi while Cam simply stood there and glared at him. My mate tells it as a funny story now but said it was very far from it at the timel.
