- our backline forgot how to kick the ball
- our backline waited for the Wobbles to get settled before clearing from points
- Roughy has forgotten how to kick straight. He need to go back a further 5 paces, and run in on the set shots.

Just arrived home from the game, very disappointing performance tonight.

I have never been so deflated after a game. The boys looked spent, this game plan of ours is not working, when things are not going right we don't have a game B to full back on.

This relentless handpassing, there was no flow tonight.

If i hear another word about our injuries i will spew up.

Watching Ladson run past a Collingwood player from behind to take up his spot in the zone/cluster rather than tackle the damn player was a real disappointment. Watching stupid skill errors from experienced players was a real disappointment. Watching Roughy kick for goal was just horrible. Watching us repeatedly kicking straight to the opposition was just horrible.

I'm glad I didn't cough up the $ to go watch the game, I would have left before halftime.

Completely agree with you. There is no way we should even think about getting rid of Clarkson.

You are all entitled to your own opinions but you can't have your own facts..

With the resources and list we have to miss finals 2 years running is bye bye time for the coach...couldn't care less what you have done 2 -3 - 4 years ago...

You do not hold onto a gig in this caper when you have the 2nd best list in the comp and the best facilities and resources available to you and miss the finals 2 years running...you don't dish out a pathetic game plan like that...Lalor 3rds would have beaten us tonight...bye bye Al.

I forked out the cash to go along tonight.

Talk about frustrating! No intensity or speed in the guys tonight at all. The way Davis, Thomas and Didak were running around it was like we had lead in our boots.

This is round 4 though, and I'm confident that we can't play worse than that this season.

We ARE a better team than that, and there will be some players very disappointed with their effort tonight.

The boys better come out breathing fire next week...

That was the worst performance from a team in the history of the game considering the talent we had out on the park and the opposition...Collingwood are nowhere aswell

All lead by the direction of the senior coach and his assistants..

If they do not get this group up and playing finals this year...bye bye Al..

• We played a shocking game - we are not a bad team. Next week is a new week;
• Clarko is great Monday - Friday but shockingly bad come game day; he just seems (literally) quarters behind the other coaches when it comes to tactics;
• Thank Christ for Luke Hodge;
• Collingwood are crap as well - they just happened to play better than us tonight;
• We need Hodge to play back to keep those guys in line - especially without Gibbo. Our disposal coming from the backline is killing us & if it isn't arrested in the next few weeks our season will be over;
• 1-3 isn't 9-13: Get our sh*t together & we can turn it around;
• Our goal kicking is useless. We need our 2008 guy back. If we are making the kind of profits we do, but are not willing to drop $100k on what essentially wins games, then I will stop paying my membership as the clubrooms don't need re-painting every year; and
• I thought Renouf played well tonight.

Defence is starting to gel, but got zero assistance from an impotent forward line and midfield.

Renouf played a great game, but would needs some assistance.

Expected to lose, but thought we'd put up more of a show.

I don't think tonights result was Clarkos fault. The players are to blame. Hodge and Renouf can hold their head up - the rest of them need to have a good look at themselves.

I can't imagine Clarko saying before the game "don't chase, tackle or put any pressure on the opposition"

Its very easy to point the finger at the coach but at some point we've got to have a look at the guys that run on to the paddock.

Our backline has too few players capable of matching their opponents one on one, and until the likes of Birchall, Schoenmakers, Guerra, Ladson, Murphy and Gilham are able to stand their direct opponents and nullify them we will struggle to keep opposition teams to a losing score.

I think this is a very good point, the reason lies with Pelchen, by his own admission he doesn't believe in the traditional KPD type player & has recruited in an attempt to pre-empt how he believes the game is going to change before conclusive evidence that that change has occured.

I think the tactical strategy accounts for more of the problems than anything else.

Agreed that Mitchell had a shocker... But one every now & again isn't the cause of the loss - if he can't have an ordinary game & expect the boys to carry him for a change then we have no chance...

I think the defence are doing well at stopping their players kicking goals but they are butchering the ball when they have it. Our disposal, even when not pressured, is killing us.

For our current gampelan to work we need to be able to a) run hard to shepherd and b) be precise with our disposal. Tonight we were very poor in both areas but the shocking disposal seems to be creeping into our game more and more every week. Players like ellis, mitchell, guerra, murphy and birchall who are usually involved in our chain of handballs coming out of the backline struggle to hit a team mate with a handball 3 metres away. Our kicking is also atrocious with birchall, murphy, schoey and bateman especially tonight all unable to hit targets. Another thing that just requires some common sense from the players themselves is handballing to a running player but who is on the wrong side to kick, slows us down a lot.
