It's weird how all the stupid things that happen during GF week screw with your mind. On my way to take my son to school I saw the city council were cutting down the hawthorn bushes that were growing on the street down the road from the school. It sent me into a tailspin of depression. I'm ok now because, as I mentioned above, The Squiggle has picked us.

Gotta give credit to the coaching staff at Hawthorn with regards to Duryea. Originally drafted as a small forward we have been pretty fortunate to watch him develop into an elite small defender who possesses all of Guerra's traits. I can see him playing a massive part this weekend.
 
So Gary Ablett has tipped us and tipped Lewis for the Norm Smith...bit stunned to be honest. Though we did touch up GC twice this year.

I like your thinking, BUT we cannot afford to turn the ball over which we did too consistently on Saturday.
 
First things first as far as the GF.

No zone defence cuz it doesn't work against the better teams and Buddy runs amok knowing this. So, Stratton to Goodes, Lake to Tipp and Gibbo to Bud and run with this the whole game and make those three earn every kick , mark and handball.

Win the Clearences and the Contested footy.

Lewis will play but not in the middle cuz he would have to bend on the knee to get the Inside ball so, send him to Malceski and I guarantee that Lewy will have 4 on the board!!

Gunston, Breust, Rough, Pops and Hale all must hit the scoreboard to keep scoreboard pressure on at all times.

Hill, Smith, Shiels to get off the leash and run.

Langford to Parker, Shiels to Hannebery.

Mcevoy in for Cegs.

This leaves Suckers playing as he likes, therefor a 3 goal NSM is on offer! So Suckers, ' don't heck this up!"

He took time out from fine-tuning his Grand Unifying Theory of Everything and finally completing the work that Einstein failed to crack.

Ross has been dabbling with it in his spare time between designing a deep-space plasma drive for Nasa, doing diabolical Sudokos and arm wrestling Ryan Crowley.

Don't want to be a dampener, but the Squiggle actually has us losing by a point, if you drop the 12 point home ground advantage.

I don't think Goo ever jumped like Doc does. Doc's obviously learnt that part of his trade from Gibbo, so all he needs now is a smokin' hot girlfriend and he'll be our best small defender ever.

Wish I hadn't. Heard and read some depressing crap.
But my remedy is to jump on here and then every think is alright :)
