I wonder if the boys try to get into Buddy's head.

Play the guilt card. How could he leave them, go to their main competitor, and stop his best mates from going back to back. Dog act.

Hopefully he starts to get the yips.
Not just the guilt card. Niggle him until he becomes insane. Best way to get him off his game, that and bad kicking.

So Priddis wins the Brownlow, is this where the madness stops?

Not yet. I posted this in the Brownlow thread but can someone explain to me how this occurs?

I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet but between Buddy, Kennedy and McGlynn they polled more votes than all Hawthorn FC players combined. Heck not only the Syds 1, 2 and 3 but our best poll drew the same votes as the MyGlynn

The ultimate troll

How the heck did we have an almost identical home and away season

11 votes getters, beat the top three (all ex-hawks) and it will be a miserable trip back to Sydney.

Well that was before Priddis won it, so let's just claim this is end of it now. I've never followed the Brownlow for the specific purpose of hoping someone would not win it.

At least the shit truck only got a vote. Not sure how the thoroughbred Sam Reid went though?

We have a decisive advantage in the ruck. Hale and Ceglar/McEvoy must win well and give our mids first use of the ball. Mitchell, Hodge, Burgoyne and Lewis must also stand tall. Apply the same manic pressure that was applied to Fremantle last year. Don't worry about our kicking game. Opportunities will come. This is going to be a dogfight and we can beat them at there own game. We can cover their forwards. Gibson to Franklin, Stratton to Goodes, Lake to Tippett and Spangher to Reid. I originally thought Shoenmakers had a chance to come into the side but I think the only change will be Junior for Simpkin. Play him permanently in a pocket and use Suckling as the sub.

If I was picking the team I would have Shoenmakers and Sewell in the side for Spangher and Suckling. This is a proud team that has been very good for a long time. A big challenge lies ahead but the self belief is there and I would not be surprised if we win and win well.

Shoey? Not a hope in hell. He was atrocious on the weekend.

I feel really up in the air over this one.
In 2012, I had a feeling we may lose it. Then was relatively comfortable last year in comparison.
This year I really have no idea.

I was super confident in 2012... It ruined me

Now I expect losses every week
Lol I am naturally a negative nancy, I nearly always expect losses.
Hell, I wrote off our season, halfway through the year.

Going through this year with minimum expectations, has been an awesome ride though. :D

edit:
Just am fluctuating between the awesomeness of a possible B2B and the just stoked/proud that the boys got this far.

I had a brief moment on the train today when I daydreamed we won it after the siren with a Gunstan behind. Fair to say it was awesome.

30mins later and I'm seeing losses and jumping off the top level of the G

Know how you feel, so unsure about this one its unsettling. One minute I think we will be ok next minute I think we are in trouble.

Will you even be able to enjoy watching the game?

Some ideas:
Big Mc and Sewell in.
Ceglar and Simpkin out. Suckling starts as sub.
Cyril didn't show enough unfortunately imho,

Burgoyne to rotate up fwd at times
Hale and Mc must 2-3 kick goals between them or be very dangerous long ball options for us.
Goodes, need to be dragging him up ground constantly, Birch to him.

Early on we need to play more direct when we win a clearance and be willing to kick to advantage and go fwd rather than expect loose hit ups to be available before they get numbers back. More 1st option stuff. Can hold onto the pill more and increase possession after 1/4 time.

Just enjoyit guys.

With all the shit we've coped this year it's an achievement upon itself to make it to the GF (all while blooding another 7 debutants)

I was nervous to all buggery this year, this year all pressure is on the Bloods.
