Oh goodie, so I won't have heard of our sponsor OR our players next year

Whomever the 2023 manufacturer is

I just want adult ling sleeves so I can parade in Hawtjorn colours during winter 😝
Hawthorn Ling sleeves are quite short though.

I really want Skechers though to watch people's heads explode all over again.
There's been debate about poor brand alignment which is fine, hardly any freakouts.

Personally, I don't think a sponsor should just be about selling to the highest bidder, but plenty of people seem to disagree.

FWIW this is something supporters in the EPL and some American sports absolutely do freak out about and debate ad nauseam.

I didn't say that everyone was freaking out - I was just amused at the ones who were resorting to the histrionics. One of those posters only the other day then pointed out 'well NB used to be a nothing brand and now it's not' which has exactly been my point all along that sometimes brands pivot and if Skechers was trying to get involved in this market it mightn't be the worst thing on the planet. The premiers are sponsored by Cotton On - I hardly think Skechers, who sponsor one of the LA Dodgers marquee players with the Dodgers being one of the most valuable sporting franchises in the world is going to damage to our brand comparatively.

I wonder how many people would recognise some of the league's apparel sponsors from this season. I honestly hadn't heard of several of them.

As long as our guernsey looks and feels 'premium'/aesthetic, I probably put that before brand identity.
