The sponsors logo needs to be black as that is their design.

That would be like asking KFC if we can change their logo colours to blue & green or iinet to get rid of the red ‘i’ & white ‘net’

I meant the picture makes it look like the logo is brown, could be a bad picture I’ll grant you. I would prefer it be brown to blend in better - I’m not demanding it. I’m fairly aware we can’t demand brands change their logos for aesthetic purposes.

I get AFL sides wouldn’t have anything close to the bargaining powers - however if you look at major European football sides you’ll note that their branding works in with the sides jerseys. For example Spotify is fairly iconic for their green and black logo - however the green doesn’t appear anywhere on Barcelona’s strip this year it’s just black or white. Same with Teamviewer’s blue logo on Man Utd being white or black. The logos work in more - same with a lot of NBA jerseys where the sponsor logos work in more and the Nike swoosh on jerseys being the team colours not straight white like Puma, Adidas and now Skechers have done with us.

I’m not demanding any of this change or expecting it to - but looking at the overseas kits surely you can concede they look sharper when the logos work in more with the kit.

So is there a connection here between ISC and Sketchers? Are they in partnership? Or have we just sold the centre shirt logo zone as a new piece of sponsorship real estate with ISC the real jersey / apparel manufacturer?

I think there was a post pages back suggesting Skechers didn’t have the manufacturing capability for the guernseys as yet so had teamed up with ISC.

There’s a post on the footy jumpers board from someone who’s seen the new jumpers in the flesh, and they said that our jumpers are a new material that the players have been impressed by.

not a lot you can do tbf
Is there a clash issue that prevents us from using the opposite colours and make the rear of the jersey predominantly brown ?? That was a great clash jumper and with our home shorts would look good as our main strip . That jumper design is what adidas bought out when they jumped on board , would’ve been good if a new sponsor wanted to make a point of difference for the next few years . Same designs as Adidas just a different name .

They might have just been working to a brief. Not a lot of creative types in football it seems.
You got that right . When a lot were “ discussing “ the pros and cons of changing the brand from Adidas to Skechers the marketing dept saw fit to come out with a post on the socials saying words to the effect “ we know it might be a bit controversial but don’t worry guys we got this , best interests of the club etc turns out they have as much imagination as the guy who designs the uniforms for the CCP .

Not sure what the issue is here. Our jumper is brown and gold stripes, not much you can do with that.

I recall when that guernsey got launched I saw a fair few Tiggers supporters joking that it looked like their strip. Not sure if this was also an external view or there was an actual complaint from the Tigers but there must be some kind of explanation as I saw a lot of people wearing it (myself included) so can only imagine it sold well.

Think I’ve seen that it risks clashing with Collingwood aswell could do the brown home and yellow away and then a legends guernsey or is that to much..?

Amd to think this whole thread, I thought a lot of you were over-reacting! Oh, how wrong I was...

There are always subtle changes you can make to freshen up the look especially if you are a new manufacturer taking over . If you look at StKilda , Geelong even poor old Nth Melbourne do it well just slight changes each year to create a point of difference and freshen up the look .

The one good thing I've noticed with ISC is that all clubs with them as the manufacturer, have super cheap sales at the end of the season!

I prefer the new one, though the logo placement still bothers me.
