Please don’t bring Barrett’s sliding doors rubbish here. That’s not the Hawthorn footy club in the media.

That’s a desperate article, trying to get clicks every week.

Was glaringly obvious.
Both the Geelong boys thanked every coach, including their under 10s coaches.
He fails to acknowledge the bloke he won 4 flags with, yet acknowledges Schwab.
A massive slap in the face.
I couldn't watch living overseas but did Jimmy thank Nadia in his speech ? just curious

Who has he bad mouthed him to?
Your kidding

Said numerous times to some of the older heads at Hawthorn that he doesn't think Sam is ready
Has bad mouthed him to pretty much everyone at North (thats fact)
Anyone at AFL level he has had the chance to speak to he has taken shots, as well as draftees ( I don't care about the context, its not your story to use)
Alastair has reason to be aggrieved against Hawthorn

But against Sam, its genuinely pathetic

What's this based off?

Fair enough. I didn't know what he's said to people at North.

I can get some serious warranted angst against Kennett for the way Clarkson departed, was one of the big reasons for Hawks for Change seeing how they was handled, I felt. I don't know enough about the rift between Reeves and Clarkson, but while they didn't mention names the words from Lewis and Fagan in the 'racism' saga seems to suggest there is more than something in that for Clarkson to feel aggrieved by. However I can't quite understand the angst against Mitchell, a premiership captain, and what has caused it. Perhaps he felt undermined that Mitchell was playing a different game plan at Box Hill, and the young players were getting excited by it, to the point they spoke up against Clarkson staying for another year in the 'succession plan' proposal. I can understand if that might Clarkson feel insecure, but for him to suddenly be so anti-Sam seems ridiculous. Using an outside example, Justin Langer was very dirty to say the least when he was let go, but no he has time to reflect he said he understands why it happened and that he was spent, which impressed me he was able to move on so quick after what he was put through in the media and the players obviously turning towards their assitant McDonald while Langer was still supposedly leading. Fagan as well is able to say he is incredibly frustrated with a few individuals (who I think have left now), but he still has life long connection and friendships at Hawthorn and loved his time at the place. I can't see those sorts of comments from Clarkson towards the club in the near future, and there has to be a question on whether it ever happens.

Clsrkson hasn't said anything publicly about Sam Mitchell. I think the relationship is just strained due to fact the Mitch took his job, and that Clarkson's relationship with all who were involved in that process became bitter. From reading Sam's book, we know it's not the first time their relationship has been rocky, and I think with a bit of time it will settle.

Rioli is another story however, and I find it really sad that he is on the other side of the fence to him former club and teammates. I want to believe it will resolve itself, but it looks unlikely.

Feel like we get a "Hawks will shape the 8 article" every year.
yeah we've been picking off top 8 sides in the latter half of every season since the golden era ended except 22 and 20. and even in 22 we took out Geelong and Brisbane, albeit earlier in the season. what I've liked about Sam's tenure so far is that we've consistently been beating teams we should beat. In the latter Clarko years we would be losing games we should've been winning, and then turning it around with random big victories in the last couple of months over top sides. Only to end up missing the top 8 anyway with a terrible loss to Carlton or North Melbourne...

Yeah I must admit it has been good to finally get the wins over worse teams in the bag. That percentage booster on West Coast in particular was great.

Plus we've still got Brisbane in our pocket for the odd upset.

He’s trolling the tigers. Both teams seemed to have fair talent to work with in the twos
Richmond's days in the sun are done for quite a while IMO. They've got many holes to fill and a lot of guys at the end or very near the end of careers.
We will win a flag way before they ever will.

Theyve coughed up next years first too.
And last years.
