Just like last years thread, whatever Barrett has to say is not Hawthorn in the media.

Couldn’t care less for his shit takes, they don’t belong here.

Dan Gorringe asked Sam on the red carpet (interviewing for sportsbet).

DG: "True or False, Ken Hinkley is a good bloke?"

SM: "........ .......lyndall slaps his arm....ugg....I don't know him."
Lyndall is the real MVP 😂

This is a good watch.
Nice revelation from The Wiz that even though he supported Pies before joining Hawks he "can't stand them now".
Love it.

I was in attendance. These That's Good For Footy panels are great. Good value.

Dylan Moore was on Dyl and Friends, great interview.

Talks about Adrian Hickmont, sounds like he’s had a big impact on our forward line.

That link doesn't load for me. It goes to the AFL website, but is a blank page.

Edit: Can see it on my phone. Players are Moore, Nuke, Reeves, Scrimmers, Mass, Croc, Amon, Gunston and Day. Doesn't name the 10th player that's apparently going. Reeves is an interesting one.

Interesting Reeves is part of the group given his name in the trade talks

From the links, it's Moore, Day plus:
Star midfielder Jai Newcombe, ruckman Ned Reeves, versatile defender Jack Scrimshaw, wingman Massimo D'Ambrosio, forward Connor Macdonald and experienced duo Karl Amon and Jack Gunston are all locked in for the camp.

Reeves makes sense going to work on his clear weaknesses to try get a game, seems to love the club.

Very interesting listen for HFC supporters.

Moorey sounds absolutely filthy at Purple re the tanking accusations.
As our collective players should be. Barrett's "form of tanking" comment was essentially saying the players aren't being coached to throw games, instead there's simply not enough talent left on the list to win games even if they're trying and being coached to win.

Ginni posted a story captioned "it's a form of tanking" after we beat the dogs IIRC

Btw, did I hear correctly? I thought Jai said that someone in his family played for the Hawks a long time ago. Anyone know more about this?
Pat ‘Blue’ Keary played for Hawthorn in the 1920s and 30s. He also played cricket with the Hawthorn Footballers’ cricket team that won a couple of premierships in lower grade district comps. Blue was quite a good athlete. I think Jai also has a couple of other player relatives from that era through various marriages.

Fantastic, good to know. Jai's great great uncle.

Not really surprised but the shambles which is afl draft media not rushing to report Frosty stating he is not going to Sydney (I presume not anywhere else either)
They don’t rush to say they were, in fact wrong and they use a scattergun approach to infer they are right occasionally

It was already mentioned last week mate that he wasn't leaving
