Just like last years thread, whatever Barrett has to say is not Hawthorn in the media.

Couldn’t care less for his shit takes, they don’t belong here.

My membership auto renewed the other day, which I found to be interesting..
I'm sure in previous years you at least got a phone call to ask if you were continuing your membership?

14th year of membership and have never had such a phone call - it just rolls over.
 
I actually agree that clubs should not get $1M for finishing on top of the ladder and then failing in finals. But it is hilariously transparent that the first time Robbo has raised this issue was when Hawthorn's AFLW side won it.
The trophy criteria does not include finals, so finals performances are irrelevant. To me, it is clear, we met the criteria, other teams didn't, therefore we are deserving winners.

If you want to argue that the criteria should be different, then that's another discussion.

They sent an email earlier in the year titled “regarding your hawks direct payment plan”. It was 26/9.
The details are buried inside that email. Tbh I don’t like that the club does it in a sort of sneaky way and it does catch a lot of people off guard but I’m sure if you call them and tell them your situation you could sort something out.

Must have missed that email or it didn't register at the time.
No issues with it financially... plus it's already been deducted..
Perhaps I am conflating the regular raffle ticket, Dingley etc phone calls with a membership courtesy call.
All good, if I'm of a mind to answer a call from a number I don't recognize and it's the hawks, I always buy a ticket or two.

I received the email also and like you say, unless you read through it carefully, you can miss the auto renewal messaging
