McLachlan and his AFL House mates are more than happy to spruik their glorious successes, especially when it comes to commercial riches.

When was the last time they took full responsibility for their own role in the substantial scandals that have happened under their leadership?

Always happy to announce reviews into the failings of others. Always quick to say ‘we’ have learned a lesson so long as they can point a finger at a coach, a player or a club to be the ‘fall guy’.

Who will it be this time?

Rest assured it won’t be Gil.

And to think he went to the press pumping his chest at the new broadcast deal last week with this report in his back pocket.

What a fraud he is.

Breaking news- Channel TEN reporting that the investigation into the allegations made by Hawthorn players will be conducted by an independent tribunal of four people lead by a Senior Counsel. It will not involve the AFL Integrity Unit. If true, it is a promising start.

Gil already announced this.

Specifically referring to it being headed by a KC

Gil says it will be fully independent. And yet HE gets to appoint the Chair? Reckon he has just the Silk in mind for the job too.

And who will set the Terms of Reference for the Inquiry I wonder? Rest assured it will be sharply focussed to specifically avoid spreading the net too wide.

Stinks.

How was Adam Goodes 'driven out of the game'? He was almost 36 and had played 372 games over 17 seasons before he made the right decision to retire. Best footballer I have ever seen I might add but his time had come.

Watch the doco

He's a fraud but he'll continue to fall upward throughout his life. People like Gil always do

I was under the impression that existing QC/KCs kept their titles. But all new promotions will be SCs

Again, that is what happened in most states. NSW has kept that. Victoria, Queensland and SA reverted to QC. now KC. I think WA has too. I'm not sure about Tasmania.

Basically, in those states that have reverted, silks get appointed SC but can then apply for letters patent from the Crown appointing them as QC/KC.

Some choose to remain SC but most apply for letters patent.

But isn’t gill no riding in on his horse to save the day.

The bloke has presided over Eddie’s racism x 2, the xollingwood report and many cases of racism and many others issues and has done **** all about it

Mates looking after mates.

Just skimming both forums of the coaches affected, it's err interesting the comments of 'no way this happened' because Shaun Burgoyne loved Hawthorn.

Hawthorn the Family club.

Ah. I’m in NSW. Probably why I’m confused

Not talking about his playing career more his disillusionment with how it ended and lack of support from the people supposedly running the game.

Yes, just saw Shaun Burgoyne interviewed on TV, he said he had no knowledge of the allegations. They switched to Sam Mitchell who basically said, I agree with Shaun as it is the first I have heard any of this.

Alistair Clarkson has also issued a statement denying the allegations but then again he would do that. Apparently the Hawthorn review did not interview either Clarkson or Pagan to give their version of events. Maybe Hawthorn's way of keeping a lid on things.

I guess we wait on the independent enquiry.

Don't buy that for an instant. How can anyone not believe that telling an indigenous player to separate from their family is racist in the extreme? Did they tell non-indigenous players to do the same?

AFL media excuses are starting to roll. That's just as disgraceful as the initial allegations.

I think there was a Wanganeen there too,Derek?
This is the full list.

These two I rekon would have struggled:

Rhan Hooper - mature recruit who had problems at Brisbane (fined $40,000 for missing training sessions).
Got picked up by Hawthorn then quit after his first season.

Jed Anderson - was expecting before he played a game at Hawthorn, then had another kid while on Hawthorns list.

Dunno much about the others.
