About as good as the rest of the team, with a few decent contests but some lapses in defense and on the counter-run. He's looked good when he attacks it well though. Certainly better performer than some of the establishment thus far.

Weddle looks like he lacks a fair bit of confidence atm. He didn't play like that in the 18s so once he builds that confidence at AFL level he will be a gun. It will just take a little while with him I think.

He's also learning a completely new role right now, arguably the hardest role at AFL level. Playing as a defensive wing is a delicate balance of running patterns and reading the play that is deadly when done well and disastrous when done poorly. You gotta learn somehow, at least he's had some good running efforts and made himself known at a few contests.
