What it means for Hawthorn:
Its season has a pulse. Still a game and percentage out of the finals picture, Hawthorn won't be giving up hope just yet. A big victory over Gold Coast on Sunday evening will keep it in the equation for another week at least.

What it means for Gold Coast: It just needs something to provide a bit of hope going into the summer. A run of 16 straight defeats has undoubtedly taken its toll on Gold Coast, which is now starting to get beaten badly. It needs a competitive showing on Sunday.

The stat: Hawthorn won't love heading back to Marvel Stadium this weekend, having lost all three of its games at Docklands this year.

The match-up: James Sicily v Ben King

King has displayed some good signs recently. The young forward has shown glimpses of his immense potential, kicking eight goals in his past four weeks. Sicily has been in fine form for the Hawks and will likely be his direct opponent this weekend.

It's a big week for: Jaeger O'Meara

Suns chairman Tony Cochrane recently declared that O'Meara lied to his face before requesting a move to the Hawks, adding a bit of spice to this weekend's contest. The midfielder will undoubtedly have something to prove against his former side.

Big call: The Hawks kick 10 goals in the opening quarter to lay the foundations for a big win.

Prediction: Hawthorn by 60 points

That score review was one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen for a pro organisation. Three camera angles, only one of which even has the ball in frame and it's from a mile away where you can't see shit, and it still took them a few minutes to decide it was umpires call.
