In light of last night/this morning I am interested in recounting a history of South African chokes. When exactly did this this whole choking business start (what tournament/year)?
From the top of my head the ones I remember are:
-v India in a ODI a few months ago- had them 8 down they put on 80 or so for the 9th wicket
-last night- cruising before collapsing
-the famous tied match with Australia
-v India in the Twenty20 World Cup- needed to lose by less then 67? runs to make the knockouts. Were cruising before self-destructing.
Anyone got some detailed accounts of their chokes and when the whole phenomenon started?
Feel free to bump this thread every time a South African choke occurs. Feel sorry for the fans.
