Melbourne cannot possibly be stopped. Do we have a new dynasty side? *Umpires “hold my beer”.

Can't really have anything to do with May this one. They kicked 4 goals in 3 quarters. Ben Brown is seriously shit right now. 6 disposals 0 goals in 8 quarters.

Freo and Sydney are both younger and better. Carlton will surpass them too soon I suspect. Melbourne need to load up next trade period to stay in touch.

Going through a form slump now the dees, Happens. Better to have it now then finals. Either way Melbourne arent unstoppable, which is good for the league. We don't want a comp like the NRL where there is 2 or 3 dominant teams and noone else has a chance

A lot of lazy football happening. A lot of people forget we were one odd umpiring call from being 4th last year, and one goal away from losing the GF last year..
That said we should be a lock for top 4 and after that who knows

They started last year in a form slump, and have mostly started this year in one. Big expectations for them based on last year but they are still in a similar spot to last year at this stage - and the only similarity is that they haven’t played well to get there. I suspect they will come good. But need to shake it up a bit.

The forward connection is horrendous at the moment. If that can be sorted out Melbourne are still in good shape.

Won contested ball in tonight’s game which is what generates the opportunities, and pretty much broke even in clearance.

But if the key forwards remain in such terrible form and the bizarre kick selections into 50 continue Melbourne will continue to battle irrespective of what happens in the backline or midfield.

Hard to forget what they did to the Bulldogs in the second half of the 2021 Grand Final though.
Once the margin in the GF becomes insurmountable, the losing side tend to drop their heads and we often see blowouts. Plus Doggies were flying all over the country prior to that game. Not overly surprised they faded. Josh Bruce would’ve been handy as well. Other than that, yeah I guess Demons looked decent. Long time ago now though. Not sure it’s relevant?

Swans are good. Warner and Rowbottom were immense tonight. Your defence was impenetrable. Get a few key players back and you’ll be in it up to your eyeballs. Great club. A Sydney vs Freo GF would be fantastic.
