How confident are you about the upcoming game against St Kilda?

If it is close at 3Q time, I worry we will run out of legs. We should win, but last weeks wet game being heavy on the legs will have left some players pretty stiff throughout the week

It's a reasonable concern - if you look at their ins, Riewoldt is the best running tall of the past two decades (shaddup, Ed Barlow doesn't count!) and Montagna seems to always have an influence late in games.

I'm not sure who our best endurance players are now but I know last year Wallis, Boyd & Gia were in the top 5 and none of them will line up for us this week. Hopefully guys like Hunter, Smith, Hrovat etc who haven't played much senior footy this year can run ok at the end.

This is a game we should win, so we'll almost certainly lose.

Okay, maybe a touch pessimistic. In all seriousness though, I'm a wary one, and I think St. Kilda will be hungry for a win and if we're not careful they could force an upset. I think we're a better side in better form, and we really should win (I'm certainly hoping we do since I'll be going to the game with a few mates who follow the Saints) but you never know. I think footy's more of a psychological game than most people credit and the conditions are good for things to take a turn if we get ahead of ourselves.

Also, as others have mentioned, given last week's slog it should be a closer game than the casual observer might expect, despite St. Kilda's 6 day break. Not to mention the return of a no doubt keen Riewoldt, things could get very interesting.

Even still, I really do hope we give them an almighty flogging.

C'mon overall we're not being cocky in the slightest. We're one of the in form teams of the comp, we're coming up against the wooden spooners who have had an encouraging but overall average start to the season, our biggest strength is their biggest weakness and we're playing on the deck were best suited.

Yet 80% of our posters are saying it's a danger game and they're not confident.

We're going to have a look back at this thread next week and have a great laugh after we do over that pack of campaigners.

We are a young side who ran out of petrol, Saints backed themselves and took us on at our own game.
