How do we open Adelaide Oval?

i don't think any crow supporter should be talking about 14 mil or really 18 mil port got when trigg announced during the week that crows never payed a cent for renting aami which was worth 2 mil a year they had a free 40 year lease on the place. That's a 46 mil hand out they have got since joining the comp, something port never got. Hence why on projected money why there is a big difference on who will get allot more out of adelaide oval and why adelaide need to pay allot more for there licence. TALK ABOUT MASSIVE HANDOUTS.

If you really want to go down this pathetic path.

Adelaide on average paid $200,000 more per home game to the SANFL than Port. Throw in the massive caveats on our license when it came to the club having their own licensed premises etc which cost the club endless amounts of off field revenue etc. Now throw in how much more we are paying for our license than Port.

Port have had such a leg up over us it isn't funny, $2,000,000 less per year than us that Port paid to the SANFL in stadium returns. All the revenue taken at the Port club etc which we haven't been allowed to have by the SANFL. Take all that into account and Port's bottom line has most probably been about 4-5 million a year better than ours due to the uneven playing field.

So next time you try and use simpleton logic to come up with a ridiculous theory actually put some semblance of throught into what you're trying to claim.

ha ha, no, my wife did also. It sounds like a squawk. Now if it was a really dry throated Faaaaaaaaaaaaaarkyou like the noise crows really make, then i'd be all for it.

It's a weird noise.

And whoever said piss off the 19th man and call us 'The Murder' is a gun - that's a great idea.

The SANFL really r*ped us didn't they. Scum.

Why are we paying more for our license?

Need to target the 18-30 demographic and "The Murder" is the perfect way to do it. They want kids but kids look up to their parents. Get the parents, get the kids.

ANYTHING to get more young people to our games! I sat in the Western stand on Saturday and at times I was sure I had been admitted to a nursing home. The octogenarians sitting around me did my absolute head in.

Here's a sample of some of the insightful comments I was subjected to repeatedly:

- Oh Crows, we have to stop kicking it to them, they're going to beat us otherwise
- Oh no, they're bringing it down again, we're not getting the ball enough
- Just kiiiiiick!!
- We really should have picked Porplyzia, he's such a nice lad
- Is that Taylor Walker having a shot?
- Well done Vince (every time Mackay touched it)
- Just kiiiiiiick!!
- We really should have stayed at AAMI, we're just no good at this oval
- It's so loud when these young ones start yelling at the umpires
- I think this umpire has been very unfair, he must like Sydney more than us
- Do you need some help getting into the toilet Mavis?
- Just kiiiiiiiick!!!

Seriously considering moving into the Eastern or Southern stands in the hope the average age may drop below 70.

It doesn't, unfortunately..
Unless something has drastically changed in some small section of the oval..
And if you move to those stands, you'll be stuck with those exact same annoying people game after game.. :p:eek:

But when I walked around, visited people etc, it was the same as AAMI..
I had a mixed bag of ages around me, but more of those type of oldies you described, than not..

I feel your pain..

Well after watching about 20 hand balls going to flat footed players in our defensive half I found myself yelling out .... Just kick the f.... Thing too!!!

sorry if this has all been mentioned before..i have only skim read other posts

1. the singing of the song by that blonde anthem style totally killed the mood of the crowd..DISASTER!
2. no club song played as the players ran through the banner...played some other song which left the entire stadium seriously confused thinking it was a mistake....DISASTER!
3. letting a sponsor toss the coin instead of the so called '19thman' supporter...DISGRACE!
4. smart and trigg carrying that 19th man flag around the ground was supoosed to be pre-match entertainment...WTF FOR?? this isnt the olympics...and that certainly wasnt the olympic flag.
5. there were no pre-match activities around the ground as promised in the email...LIE!
6. Graham cornes giving that valuable match ball from the crows first ever game at Aami away to Trigg...do you think cornsey may be regretting it now??? YES!
7. To all who paid $295 to have your name on the guernsey the players wore on saturday..i hope you are swans fans!
8. Trigg promised the 'shed' at adelaide oval will be better than Aami, and will be a function room...WORSE! the facilities were shocking...
9. Nothing provided pre-game for the fans...the club had a chance to upstage Port with free shirts but blew it...im sure if we had the first game Kochie would have done everything in his power to upstage our pre-game..
10. the '19thman' slogan has to change....it should be all about the 18 to 22 players who take the field on the day..we do our bit..always and we should never be questioned or measured...good idea to change us to 'the crows murder'
