Twaddle.
You realise for every good article about us there's about 10 bad ones?
I just like the idea of every AFL journo getting a cheque in the mail every month from the AFL's offshore "Be Nice to the Lions" slush fund. Must be some big bucks being splashed around since not one journo has seen fit to drag this grand conspiracy into the light.
Literally laughing at my monitor right now.
I have a couple of connections in the media, and they have told be that the AFL pays media organisations to stop speculation about Brisbane because they are a team from an NRL state. They don't want scrutiny because it could lead to even more supporters dropping off (now that Brisbane aren't as good as they used to be).
*Jarrad. He was coaching a NAB game outright. And I agree with you, it's completely normal to sometimes have injured players in the box. Buddy was in there for us when he was injured last year. It's a typical part of development, particular senior players with an eye to coaching post-career.What garbage. Not tolerated at any other club? Please.
Mark McVeigh* sat in the coaches box for the Swans earlier this year, while Gary Ablett has done it at least twice at the Suns. Bernie Vince sat in the coaches box at Melbourne earlier this year also.

It is sad to see them like this. Swans, giants and Suns have been given help. It seems like the AFL has abandoned the lions and swept them under the carpet.
Port were in a similar position in 2011 and hell, Andy demitriou was at the port home games at aami to assess the problems and help port out? Why isn't the AFL doing any thing to help the lions?
Gilligan McLachlan can GAGF. Eddie Maguire hasn't said a word about this has he?I've got Gillon on the phone mate... he said he will pay you a substantial amount of cash if you delete that post.
Their pretty shit and I don't think much of Leppitch, but Lethal thinks he is awesome
Wow. Do you only watch geelong games?I think Leppitsch is a very ordinary and a very unprofessional coach
What i base that on - is i heard the late Ken Judge on the radio last year on that football show - at the start of the show - he said during that week he had spoken on the phone to his good friend and premiership team mate Peter Schwab ( who is what the football manager at Brisbane ) and they had a good yak about a number of football issues
Then about an hour into the show - Judge said - do you think it is a good idea that the Brisbane coach - allows players who are not playing to sit in the coaches box - and that the Brisbane coach in their presence slags off numerous Brisbane players who are actually playing on the day . And as Judge pointed out - the players who have been slagged off by the coach during the game - would have been told that by the players in the coaches box ( Peter Scwaab must have told Ken Judge that thats what was happening)-
Totally unproffesional by Leppitsch and wouldnt be tolerated at any other club
I don't know what people are on about.
Brisbane were great yesterday and nearly stole it. After getting murdered in contesteds last week they matched it with the Swans all day.
They smacked the Gold Coast at the Gabba two weeks ago. I expect all the mid to lower ranked teams (eg, Hawthorn) will struggle to beat them there this year.
we've upgraded to "strangled" now...
In 6 months it'll be choke slammed, 12, decapitated.
So brave , brave coach
Thx 4 inputSo brave , brave coach
Still think Leppitsch has been a poor coach so far though.

If you think those players are elite enough to drive your club above its current position, I have a lovely timeshare I'd like to interest you in.**** off. If anything, we are playing under our talent level. We have Beams (top 20 in the league), Rockliff (All Australian), Stephan Martin (All Australian), Hanley (arguably an elite player) Rich (Elite on a good day) and yet we have only won 5 games in the past 28 or so games.
Compare and contrast with another side on the way up after a few dismal years - Melbourne. Martin is good, but Gawn is better. Schache is good but raw - Hogan is the best young key forward around, and Watts is finally showing something. Melbourne certainly has a far better experienced core of players as well - Vince, Garlett, Lumumba, Jones... Brisbane has Merrett, that's it.
Brisbane will be ok, they played well on the weekend and are on the way up. But considering what Leppa inherited, he's ok to lose a few in the meantime.

When was Stefan Martin All-Australian? Beams I will agree is probably top-20 (just), but Hanley is nowhere near that (yet - great start to the year, though) and, at the minute, neither is Rockliff. Your tall defenders aren't great, your forward line is equal-worst in the competition along with Carlton. Rich hasn't pulled out anywhere near enough near-BOG performances to be considered elite, not even on his day.
