Good morning all.

Wow. All of Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, and Richmond in the top 8.

What a year to not have footy at the MCG😢.

I feel that the next week and the one after, will tell us more.
We need to back up a good performance and then back it up again, as otherwise last night will be forgotten.

We just can't go back to the way we played against The Saints.
We have to sustain quality performances, even if we don't win. We have to.
Agreed.

The big thing for me though is this is the perfect way to start the hub, the joy and confidence can just build in that environment (as can all the negatives if we had got belted).

I are say we won't be seeing calls for SPS or McKay to be dropped this week.

Great to see Setterfield continue to build and hopefully that can be Kennedy's benchmark.

Consider yourselves like smashed.

How good was that? Glad we have the likes of Port this weekend. Time to build some good team playing habits from the opening whistle to the final siren.

The game recording is going to get the loop treatment.

Woohoo. Go baggers!

Not sure about Kennedy but Walsh ran the most for the game.

Gibbons, Ed Curnow & surprisingly McKay were all in the top 5 distance covered for the game. The other one was Hunter.

Shows Big H is in good nick and causing defenders issues with his height and ability to cover the ground.

I am really curious number wise.

For a player with knocks on his tank and speed. I felt like he ran super well.

Port really struggled with the Lions tall key forwards a couple of weeks ago. Could be a good day for Harry/Levi/Mitch.

No, we won't see any calls for players to be dropped, but players do have to keep up that same endeavour and intent.
We saw the good McKay last night. That should be his standard. That tap down to a small from a pack, was as good as his goals and tackles.

Re. Setterfield: More for the List Management thread, but again, he's one of the key young players that just had to come on and the last couple of weeks have showed up that he's up to it. He's not really such a young player but he is in terms of games played.

Kennedy is the wildcard.
We need what Kennedy may be and it was pleasing that performance last night and pleasing to hear the way his coach spoke about him.
Should Kennedy have that standard, talks of Wines and Crouch will dissipate and I'd be ever so pleased for us, should that come about, as we can then train our sights solely on speed and goal-kickers

Is anyone a Telstra mobile customer that can get the tracker numbers for Kennedy.

Would love to know how much ground he covered he seemed to be everywhere.
Was there, he was. He looks a new player. Spread was awesome and his hands in close are superb. Watch him dish from a stoppage. It's brilliant.

I stuck my head in last week to give them a serve, so it wouldn't be right if I didn't pop in again this week to applaud them.

Effort, application, hunger, desire....all the things I felt were absent last week were there in spades last night.

Look, we throw in our money and invest emotionally year after year - so it hurts when you receive back an effort like we got against the Saints. But I said at Quarter Time last night that i'll take this standard every week. Players will make mistakes, but if you get that effort every week, you cannot complain - win, lose or draw.

Excited that we have Port next week. I think it's the right team at the right time, and presents an opportunity for us to really make a statement. Get in their faces, take risks, and who knows? Think the world looks bright this morning? Imagine what it looks like if we beat Port next week. Carn tha Bluebaggers!

Just on the Pitto Kreuzer debate, the young fella is better in tight with handball release and a better kick in congestion, Kreuzer doesn’t care about congestion, he just bursts through it, Pitto is another inside mid.
I think we have our Ruckman.
Thank you for your time and energy Matthew, we love you.

Was delighted how well the boys players played and adapted to the wet conditions, esp our taller lads like Feathers and Gov :)

Really want to see Harry play and compete like he did last night more consistently, makes us so much more dangerous offensively.
