If Cloke can kick strait.

9.2.

I think he's actually the most accurate of the power forwards currently, and second in the Coleman.

As good a start as we could ask of him after last year.

WTF?, Cloke's very hard at it with or without the ball, if you want to see soft look at Cam Mooney.

You'd pick chapman and SJ above Swan and Pendlebury? just give up posting now.
Lol cloke hard.. yea totally.. id pick chappy and stevie over them 2 pansies anyday. gawd..
As for wats his name yarra guy.. yea tomahawk sposed to be next dunstall.. only way is if stopped playing like a girl and smashed packs like his body should.. id love to see him run thru maxwell

He can dream I guess! Meanwhile Maxwell will just have to keep running through the girl. :)

No I wouldn't. Franklin is far to undisciplined and gives away far to many free kicks. He wouldn't suit Collingwoods game plan and his lack of discipline would detract from us being the BEST team in the competition. Franklin Bashing? Franklin is an exceptional footballer but as proven by the stats he is simply a great lead up player. He rarely has an impact on a contested situation. Jeff Hogg used to tear Collingwood 'a new one' to put it in your own 'classy' words, doesn't mean he was the best going around.

See this is the sort of crap that lets these threads down. Of course youd swap Cloke for Franklin not that Hawthorn would. To say anything else is just biased rubbish.

Hawkins sounds like he fits the Geelong game plan perfectly.

No I wouldn't actually. Would I swap Didak for Rioli..........Yes. Would I swap Shaw or O'Brien for Hodge ...............Yes. Would I swap Cloke for Franklin........Not a chance in hell.

The only carcase clock would get near is if he became a butcher.. bad player in a good team. If maxwell got off all his tv shows and played football he might run thru something other then the banner.. i seen him try and run thru a player last week and missed him by about 3 meters.. amazing effort

and I've seen countless Geelong players attempt to run through players... Oh wait, no I haven't! :rolleyes:

Im really to scared to ask why but I will. Why wouldnt you?

As I said Cloke is a contested player which is what Collingwood need up forward. He is the best contested mark in the game by a long way. Collingwood thrive on forward pressure and Cloke creates this through contests. He brings the ball to ground and is rarely outmarked. He usually creates the contested situation Collingwood wants up forwards. Lets make it clear Franklin is an incredible footballer but he is a leading forward and is rarely in a contest. Due to his athleticism he doesn't need to be. Cloke creates the type of game Collingwood wants, Franklin doesn't. Franklin's complete lack of discipline in reagrds to free kicks would also be a negative.

Oh and for best "contested mark" in the league, Jono Brown eclipses Cloke.

Brown doesn't play enough any more to be a factor. A superstar when on the field but far to injury prone now. Cloke had the most contested marks in the league last year and has almost double everyone this year. Pretty simple really.

If Cloke had the leg speed of Franklin many of his contests would be avoided. What Buddy lacks for in contested marking he beats Cloke hands down in all other ares most importantly the score board. Lets remember Cloke only kicked 30 odd goals last year in a side that lost two or three games. Its total rubbish that Collingwoods prefered game plan is to create a contest then to score.

Cloke = 12.
Goodes =8
sandilands = 8
ottens = 8
bartel = 8
yea safe to see cloke has double everyone else..

Musta missed max rooke then :p no need to run thru players.. there to play the game not be a thug.
Oh dear. I don't really quite know what it is you're trying to say here. :confused::confused::confused:

Last time I checked it wasn't against the rules to lay tackles or side bumps but let's not let the facts get in the way of your little fantasy shall we. The simple fact is that Cloke would scare the living bejesus out of Chappy or pretty much any Geelong player you'd care to put up.

I suggest you find out more about the Collingwood game plan and stop guessing. Yes Cloke did only kick 30 goals but this is because Collingwood are not one dimensional like Hawthorn. Collingwood share their goals because we don't go to the one player continuously. If Cloke played FF and we went to him most times like the Dogs with Hall, he would kick 70 plus. Would I trade Franklin for Cloke, no. Would I trade Franklin for Dawes.........Yes. Then we would have the best contested, lead up set up in the comp.

How old are you two? FFS who cares who is scared of the other.

Oh im sorry.. ill put it much easier for you to understand? or is understand a big word? hmm?
Cloke scare chappy.. now thats something i would pay to see.. really it would.. because now you're dreaming..

Cloke is soft - mentally soft. All he has proven this year is that he can kick straight when there is no pressure and his side is utterly dominant.

He is mentally insipid when things are tight - see Grand Final MK1. My Collingwood mates wanted him dropped for the second GF, now on the back of 3 bully sessions against Port, Kangaroos and an undermanned Carlton defence they are trying to put him in the league of Franklin, Riewoldt and the like.

Dawes is also enjoying a dream run with a dominant midfield and the second opposition defender. Collingwood's forwards are dominant only because their side is absolutely dominant. Bucket loads of quality delivery and no scoreboard pressure - the easiest gig in the game. Quentin Lynch and Cam Mooney made their careers out of it. Even Nathan Ablett snaffled a few in a grand final whitewash!

I think Hawthorn have the best twin towers, only because Franklin is one of them. Roughead has struggled since 2008 and some of what i've said above about performing in a dominant side applies to him too.

Hurley is a talented youngster but still developing. Ryder is very versatile but yet to be a proven consistent goalkicker.

Please enough with the bullshit. If you honestly believe that Malthouses game plan and structure isnt based around getting the ball to either Cloke or Dawes youre dillusional.
