The Vic clubs would be outvoted if one folds.
Would take 2 to fold/relocate to be outnumbered - but you hit the nail on the head, along with Bushie

I thought it was discussed as a possibility not a given. Even Lyon suggested that there would be an uproar if the AFL bailed out Melbourne with funds to pay out Neeld. Caro was the one suggesting that is what equalisation is all about - the rich clubs helping the poor ones.
Yeah because pick 2 and Hogan next year to join Viney and Toumpas isn't enough.Their words were, if I recall correctly after 3 glasses of wine at 1130 at night, that if the Melbourne board followed Jacksons plan the AFL would "look sympathetically" at the idea of a priority pick.
I just love the part where they can't even afford to sack their coach, there's some poetic justice about it when all's said and done.I cannot see what sacking Neeld will do after the next 2 games, obviously they are going to cop a hiding.
Unless the players have declared that Neeld has lost them, perhaps they have no faith in him, who knows
Either way I DGAF, let them burn some more
Smells extremely fishy. It looks as though the AFL are trying to circumvent a raid on some high profile Victoria based players. They know we are building a considerable war chest. Last thing they want is Buddy to go to an already powerful interstate club.

The Shame!Thy name is Vanilla!Hope Kirky can have a word and get him back to his best. Our game needs an in and under ball winner.
On the general theme of quality journalism, last night's Melbourne mX told us that there are rumblings at Melbourne, and that Mark Neeld was under pressure "... after Sunday's 90-point demolition at the hands of West Coast ... "
Presumably Woosha decided a game against Melbourne would hit the spot as a post-match recovery session.
I'll say friday night, Tokyo time.Haha we should run a pool on how long bushie manages to keep this up. I give him three days.

Any choice that I may have had with this has been removed from me, via a directive from those on a spiritually higher plane, who wish for world peace to be initiated via an Australian Rules football board.
I have submitted to their will. Please respect that.

We should all light a candle for Buddy as he is a troubled young man.
And I am certain that the AFL acts with all clubs interests in mind equally.
They are a professional organisation with deeply ingrained integrity.
Some of the things written about Andrew Demetriou must be terribly distressing for him to read.
He bleeds too you know.
FREMANTLE has held onto its place inside the AFL's top four and broken a three-game losing streak against Adelaide with a gritty seven-point win at AAMI Stadium on Saturday.
