Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai
7pm AEST Wednesday October 18

4 milestones - the 2 Dwaynes play their 50th one day international, Symonds plays his 150th, and Chanderpaul plays his 200th. Katich, Johnson and Cullen likely to miss out for the Aussies although the way the Mumbai pitches have been playing Cullen might be a chance. The Windies only have 13 to choose from with Collymore having gone home to be at the birth of his first child, Taylor and Morton will probably be the other 2. Australia are number 1 in the world and the Windies number 8, but when the Windies are playing, anything can happen - it's only a month to the day since they last beat the Aussies.

Australia XI: +Adam Gilchrist, Shane Watson, *Ricky Ponting, Damien Martyn, Andrew Symonds, Michael Clarke, Michael Hussey, Brad Hogg, Brett Lee, Nathan Bracken, Glenn McGrath
Subs: Simon Katich, Mitchell Johnson, Dan Cullen

West Indies XI: Chris Gayle, Wavell Hinds, Runako Morton, Ramnaresh Sarwan, *Brian Lara, Dwayne Bravo, Marlon Samuels, Dwayne Smith, +Carlton Baugh, Ian Bradshaw, Jerome Taylor
12th man: Fidel Edwards

Umpires: Mark Benson (England), Rudi Koertzen (South Africa), Aleem Dar (Pakistan - 3rd), Asad Rauf (Pakistan - 4th)

Weather:

It's played at the same venue where NZ met SA and they reckon it's not generally used for first class matches. It's expected to take turn.

Watson has been given the gig ahead of Katich. Punter says the wicket looks so bad he might give himself a bowl but he expects pigeon to fire. He doesn't expect too many fireworks from the batsmen and reckons that 200 tops will be a winning score.

Cullen will play ahead of Bracken because of the spinning nature of the pitch and Punter says the toss is all important and he won't make the same mistake as muppet if he wins. He will bat as will Lara.

Batting second on that pitch may be an issue.

If Windies bat first then Aussies will have to work hard to chase them down, but will do.

I am expecting the side to look like this

Adam Gilchrist, Shane Watson, Ricky Ponting, Damien Martyn, Andrew Symonds, Michael Clarke, Michael Hussey, Brad Hogg, Brett Lee, Nathan Bracken & Glenn McGrath.

Nathan Bracken has taken the 2nd most wickets in ODI's for the 2006 calendar year, 2nd only to Brett Lee, common sense and a bit of logic would suggest they'd both play.

crazy stuff, lee has never played in india before and bracken was our match winner in the tvs cup last time we played oen dayers here.

very strange stuff, bracken must be wondering whose dog he ran over.

Australia should be able to post 250 if they win the toss, which is pretty reasonable on the track which should be f**ked off from International cricket.

All about lead in form, and Mitchell Johnson, a potential face of the Aussies, had him covered.

Alright my boys (not the cheating Australian scum) are a developing young team, just be happy with a good performance here.

That being said at least we're not desperate enough to have Shane Watson open the batting! :D
Developing a bunch of hacks ..the current Windies squad would make Lloyd, Richards, Garner, and co cringe everytime they take the field ...sorta like the way your parents cringe everytime you open your mouth
