Anthony Morabito has Freo written all over him, Kane Lucas has West Coast written all over him and Koby Stevens has North Melbourne written all over him. Face it, that's how it'll be.

i agree:thumbsu:

not saying it will certainly happen, but they just look like they belong to those clubs.

That's a horrible thing to say about Morabito ;)

Sorry I thought that the Pies and Bullies were going ok this year. Yes no flag but remember I go for Freo!

Do you rate Mooney and Abblet (I gather you do not mean Gary Jr) as key fwds? They are not in the same park as Roo and Kosi. You could say that Nathan has potential.

Geelong won the flag based on defence, in the mids and super talented small/mid sized forwards.

They served their purpose. You are somewhat correct about why they won, but they still had the two big guys down there as either the first option or a bail out option if others were manned up. This is something the Dogs and to a lesser extent the Pies don't have. Thats why a fit Rocca is so crucial to their setup.

1- Melbourne- Tom Scully
2- Eagles - Kane Lucas
3- Freo - Jack Trengove
4- Melbourne - Matthew Panos

6- Richmond - John Butcher
7- North - Koby Stevens

Just thinking Butch will slide, and Dees still need a KPF

I like this attempt, purely for the fact that the Demons and Eagles win more than 4 games. :)

I'd be very surprised if Freo picked up a mid as opposed to drafting a KP player.

I'll be happy with whoever we pick up. The top ten look pretty solid. :thumbsu:

People over east have been saying that Butcher is not worth a top 3 pick anymore so even though we are desperate for KPP talent I don't think we will reach for one

I'm very confident that we will take one of Trengove, Morabito or Lucas

unless there's another Stephen Hill like bolter somewhere

I reckon Butcher will still very much be on the radar because he has a rare set of athletic traits (Height, Strength, Good Hands and most likely speed) and (For better or worse) our drafting has always had an emphasis on "athletic" potential first and position second.

As much as I like the idea of us picking up Trengove, I reckon Smart would be putting Morabito and Butcher up the top of his wish list - which one he puts first is the question I can't answer, but the fact that Butcher can play specialist positions (IE. Key position) might be a swaying point.

Yea well said Ysaye I tend to agree if Butchers there for you will most likely pull the trigger especially if his draft camp results are good.

I just wish you had another pick at about 8 or 9 so you could pick up Panos.

Unless someone offers us a top 10 pick for some of the crud we are trying to unload there is sfa chance of another top pick...:D

Well, one thing is for sure. Panos will be gone before Adelaide's first round pick.
Why do you think thats a sure thing? FWIW I think he will be there when Adelaide pick and they won't take him. For those who have him pencilled in as a top ten pick I suggest you take a closer look at his entire game. A recruiter gave a journo his top 20 which was published in the Hun.

1 Scully
2 Trengove
3 Butcher
4 Morabito
5 Stevens
6 Cunnington
7 Rohan
8 Lucas
9 Gysberts
10 Vardy
11 Christensen
12 Tapscott
13 Martin
14 Melksham
15 Ben Griffiths
16 Crichton
17 Harwood
18 Bastinac
19 Panos
20 T Taylor

And I reckon the only ones that should also be on that list are Mitch Duncan and Dan Talia and maybe Alex Carey.

Why do you think thats a sure thing?

Well, it seems like centrebounce14 doesn't like him. But on the other hand its also possible that centrebounce14 may want him to last that long as he wants Adelaide to take him and is trying some terrible reverse psychology, so I was simply playing around with him.

Whether he honestly thinks Panos is overrated or is just secretly hoping that Panos will last to Adelaide's pick, my comment worked either way, heh.

Sorry for making you go to the trouble of typing that list. ;)

Look for the meltdown of the Carlton board, TC, CSC and pafloyul if the Blues overlook Panos, Griffiths or Talia for a midfielder. :thumbsu:

Martin or Tapscott might be a good replacement for Stevens or Scotland...
