if there is one aspect of Hardies game i think he needs to work on is to work more possibly in the weights. Build muscle.

Guys like Cam Green, Tim David, Marsh are ahead of him in batting in this form purely because of their muscle. Their half hits generally go for 6s.

I had a quick look at the squads for BBL this season and the Renegades and Hurricanes have multiple specialist spinners , so I think they have identified Australian batsman have a weakness against spin after the powerplay overs. (when the field is spread)

Imagine the pecking order is : Jadeja (all round ability), Axar Patel (all round ability) and Ashwin (all round ability)

Kuldeep Yadav and Bishnoi are lesser with the bats.

Washington hasn’t got a game all series. Probably could have played today. And Tilak would come in if Shreyas or Rinku aren’t in form.
They are the next two spin options in the squad.

That’s the pecking order, all three capable spinners and all can hold a bat. Which is why they will be ahead of Kuldeep, Bishnoi and Yuzi for spots in the team. I’ve noticed some other players like Shaheen and Rashid practice their batting to make themselves more selectable over others.
