India vs Australia 4th test Dharamsala, the Virat Kohli Cup, March 25 - 29, 3pm AEDT

So Australia had the plan of trying to blast them out with pace. In 4 tests the pace bowlers took 22 of the 80 available wickets. They did not bowl to plans well. Too much variation, not enough line and length testing. They had a good line at times, but they varied the length too much and it enabled India to release pressure when needed. Starc was very poor besides two bursts and Cummins had one trick. Haze was a lot poorer than I expected, like he was trying to do too much with the ball.

Extremely proud of the boys. To go away labelled one of the weakest touring teams ever, and come away with a very hard-fought 2-1 defeat was a great effort.

It's so frustrating though that we had serious chances in all 3 Tests, but let them slip. Second Test we were 80-odd ahead, then lost our last 4 wickets for nothing, and allowed them to cobble together enough of a lead. Third Test we score 450 and have them 6/320, then let them off the hook to score 600. Here, we threw away a massive first innings, then collapsed in the second when we were level pegging. Just one of those things had to go right for us and we'd have won.

So if he plays he plays as a batsman and bats at 5, need an allrounder at 6 IMO, unless we play 4 quicks and Lyon, bat Wade at 6 - Pattinson at 7 - Stark at 8 - Cummins at 9 - Lyon at 10 and Hazle at 11, it's a long tail but a decent one.

Fmd we do not need an all rounder at 6. The bastard..no matter who it is does not get used by his captain. Pick 6 batsmen

Don't reckon the bowling was the major problem. We didn't make enough runs

Excuse me fathead. Who was it who said the pitch cost them the First Test? Kohli.
Who was it that said the toss cost India victory in the Third Test? That's right .... Kohli.
Who was it who continued to make false accusations against the Australians? ... yep, Kohli again,

Nobody cares if you respect the Australian cricket team. Amazing you can criticise the "behaviour" of the Australians and yet support a lying cheating little prick like Kohli. After this series, I detest the Indians and anyone who supports them ... if that's okay with you of course.
Detesting the team as a whole is a bit much, and their supporters doubly so.

Kohli himself? I'm done with him. He's a goose. India have plenty of people to thank for their come back to win, not least Pujara and Jadeja.

Kohli is not one of them. He did nothing all series and behaved like a jerk. The Australians are far from saints and anyone who defends some of their shenanigans also needs to take stock. But Kohli is an abrasive, nasty piece of work.

I look forward to India visiting Australia in a couple of years time, if they ever decide to play away from the sub continent again that is.

no they are racking up records against huge and powerful sides like Bangladesh.

That's why I love the 89 Ashes so much, worst team to leave our shores, and we stuffed the Poms 4 zip.

Really? In Ranchi we had India at 5/320 and they made 603. Bengalaru we had them at 4/120 and they make 276. This test we had them at 4/157 and they make 332, while being a batsman short.

We also bowled them out for 105, 107 and 189. Selectively quoting stats can present any picture you like.

The problem IMO was really a lack of match awareness, tactical acumen and killer instinct, not necessarily bad bowling. Even when we weren't getting wickets, we kept the run-rate down.

Actually for first test, kohli blamed the batting and not the pitch. Just check out the post match conference. I can even give you the espncricinfo link for that. Would you like to see it ?
And for third test, he said toss was important, but didn't tell it cost him the victory.
And for false accusations, again you guys deny what smith did was wrong ? If he had made false accusation, then icc would have took action against him. And kohli never said cheaters. A reporter said it and kohli said ' you said that, not me'. Now you will say icc=bcci. Right ?

And smith told vijay as fcuking cheat. He accused vijay of cheating. Vijay claimed a catch which he thought was out and went to dressing room as he had to come out to bat first and he was certain it was out.. There is no cheating involved. Ofcourse, it's Indian who did it, so he is a cheat. And when Ponting did it, that was fine then ?

Yes we did, but 2 of those were in one test. The rest of the time we bowled poorly, especially from the fast bowlers.

Smith mumbled the word cheat in his team dressing rooms...he didn't say it at a press conference like some other parrot did

Okay Brades, you believe what you want.

I can assure you in years to come it will be our collapses at in the second and fourth Tests which will be seen to have cost us the series by most, not poor bowling.

A parrot didn't say it. The reporter said it. Geez. How many times should I write it ? Also, you can search it yourself. Just go and see that post match conference.

And if he said in dressing room, it's fine ? Why is it like that ? Everyone got to know about that anyway.

We wouldn't collapse if we hadn't of become demoralised by India passing us easily after having them in a choke hold. Scoreboard pressure is everything, especially in India as the tracks deteriorate.

No, we collapsed because we still can't play spin very well. Stop blaming the bowlers.

It's like talking to an unintelligible brick wall. If you can't play spin well, do you think you are going to play it better or worse knowing you need to score a big lot of runs just to make a game of it?

Ah there it is, the condescension. You're a waste of time. Have a good night.
