Yep, Buddy cleared to play this week (TripleM Facebook reporting it too).

McPhee given a week - MRP continues it's spiral of inconsistency.

Now I just need Goodes & Sylvia to be right :(

UPDATE: Buddy and Goodes cleared to play this week:

HAWTHORN'S ace goalkicker Lance Franklin has escaped penalty after a striking charge was dismissed.

The AFL match review panel today decided Franklin had no case to answer from an incident with North Melbourne opponent Scott Thompson in Lanceston yesterday.

A striking charge laid by a goal umpire was thrown out on the basis that Franklin’s contact to Thompson was below that required to be a reportable offence.

Kangaroos skipper Brent Harvey and Hawk Jordan Lewis are also in the clear after video scrutiny of a scuffle late in the second quarter.

And Roos forward Drew Petrie’s contact to Hawk Rick Ladson was judged to be a realistic attempt to contest the ball at a ball-up.

Fremantle’s Adam McPhee can accept a one-game penalty striking St Kilda’s Sam Gilbert at Etihad Stadium last Friday night.

Sydney star Adam Goodes can play on after the MRP decided there was no forceful contact to Bomber Angus Monfries’ head on Saturday night.

Boomer and Petrie miss this week anyway with the Kangaroos' bye.

Now I just need the MFC to give Sylvia a reprive.

Had Steven Baker running with him, and still managed to influence the game considerably ( from what I heard ).
Bigger stars have done worse.

Sylvia also played a negating roll in the first half, was unleashed in the second half.

Any news on Ablett guys? Can probably afford to bench him this week (Top 4 in all leagues) but the week after i'll have to trade..

Really? I heard he struggled to get a kick.

Yeah that was possibly my fault. Was trying to find out some info so went to the Melbourne board last night and read in there that he had 7 touches and didn't look too interested (hence my post about it in another SC thread). The article from adelaidenow certainly puts a different spin on it saying 16 touches and that he showed class. Here's hoping he gets a repreive.

There was an article with a quote from Ashcroft saying he's likely to play and that he just needs to get through the Wednesday training session. Apparently his hamstring was OK with running but he noticed it when bending down to pick up the ball.
