Day GF is infinitely better than night.
Day beers, BBQ, sun and footy. Then I'm in bed early because I've been drinking all day.

I didn't bother watching anything footy related on GF day. Wasn't interested in either team and didnt want to listen to 3 hours of commentators talking about Geelong. There's actually a surprising amount of people that dont watch the game.
I'm with you. Haven't seen a second of it.
If you want to start trashing tradition, just simply for the dollars then get serious and auction the GF off - let’s see what other states would be prepared to pay to have the GF.
And why is the Brownlow held in Melbourne? Let’s auction it off too.

The last 2 years Vics have been in lockdown and weren't allowed visitors to their houses... Makes sense that a lot more 'people' watched when it would have been on in a lot of households, whereas this year a lot of people had GF parties (I was at one with c. 30 people in attendance; last year that would have been 10-15 screens watching but this year it would have registered as 1).

Horrific, people getting together and watching the biggest game of the year together on a single TV, this must be stopped in the best interests of the sport.
Lol, was just suggesting another reason why viewer numbers were 'down'... Never said it wasn't a good idea!!

I went to a GF party with friends so instead of 6 households watching it we had 1, but the same number of people. Such things wouldn't bother Whately as he'd have no friends to watch it with if he didn't have a lifetime media pass to the game.
