Shows the club is serious about an overhaul and this department would be a prime target you'd think. Regardless of success rate, or soft cap reasons, 30 years or so is a long time to be in a workplace comfort zone, almost unbelievable in such a competitive sport? Really points to the problem of complacency and acceptance and jobs for the boys.

While I'm happy that is one less source for him to pander his brain dead drivel, I'm about as likely to click on that shit as I am on the Suma rubbish posted earlier.
Don't get why anyone who doesn't like the flog would listen to what he has to say, much less give him what he wants by clicking.

Cheers for this. No idea why but I'm intrigued by Sumas opinion even if I rarely agree and i really couldn't be bothered listening to the whole thing
On listening, he clear as day has beef with Pyke and sounds like Woosha now too. Also he knows how to generate controversy amongst WC listeners which pays his bills (something Kornes worked out fairly early on)
I do think he does still love the club though just loves his own opinions more

Don’t mind measured criticism of the club but he’s been salty since they appointed Simmo and is a very ordinary bloke.

This is how I see it aswell.
Especially in the AFL, the what is considered the in vouge game style moves far to fast to have the people who make decisions on recruiting/talent of the list to be hanging round for 30 years.
You constantly need new eyes/new ideas to be coming through and identifying what will be the next winning style.
It's not an age thing, it's just that these blokes would have biases that the look for. And that may have been good 15/10/5 years ago, but it's not now.
It's also why Simmos time was up, wheater he was still a good coach or not
No idea on the ordinary bloke part tbh but agree completely on the Simmo part.
Just listening to those clips posted and he basically guns for Pyke as hard as he can at every opportunity (fair chance he posts on here just quietly)
Wouldnt shock me if he's simply dirty at not being offered a role. Has a couple of small drive bys on Woosh too which makes me think this even more

There's a little that, maybe you could improve another 10-15%? Some guys just won't make it though even if they had that top up. Id rather try Trew/Brayshaw types out on the rookie list rather than the one trick pony flankers we seem to throw darts at.
There's also the ones who don't want the AFL lifestyle like Cameron.
Had a laugh when on Schoeys backchat they had Shuey on there. Shuey mentioned how Mitch Brown made a chicken sandwich and just put raw chicken tenders in there now thinking you had to cook it first....
