I actually thought the referee was pretty fair. All the fouls and cards in the 1st half were there.

Class player but too old for that opportunity. If he is prepared to walk away from oil money he could play in Ligue 1, Eredivisie etc.

The path to get to the top in football, is generally harder for an Australian than it is for an Englishman. But take nothing away from the Socceroos tonight, I dont think any of the XI on the park have been bad.

Do understand why he went to Saudi Arabia. Dont know exactly what numbers he earns in Saudi and what he could in 4th to 6th best leagues in Europe.
A pro sports player especially in soccer, you probably have a good 10-12 years of peak football.

At the end of a career it is more understandable. Think it's 3 million AUD a year or something tax free.
He wanted to stay at Adelaide Utd but got half that and not tax free like it is in Saudi.

He has just about been caught in possession two or three times. Worth the risk if trying to play out to beat the press, if kicking long not worth a few seconds off the clock
