Arabic is the most common language in Sudan, and Arabic is a "Semitic" language.... so ....."Anti Semitic"?

Then again, i don't know what language is spoken in Ipswich.

I thought you knew. The new legislation defines anti-semitic as someone questioning the holocaust, the israeli govt etc etc..... sudan isnt in the scope. They'll need a lobby...

Stop trying to ruin good books.

And unlike intelligence agencies, the Bene Gesserit sowed the seeds for religion going back generations, as a manipulative tool.
The Harkonnen's were driven by pure greed, not some zealotry about being promised the land from god.

i'm sorry. I get confused with the different fairy stories....L Ron Hubbard is the only religion inventor that I subscribe to

Those languages are listed as having around 6 Million who speak it as a native language.
The Australian Sudanese communithy are South Sudanese - a new small country formed after the civil war in Sudan - mainly catholic, mainly indigenous langauges.

Sudan is a much bigger population - mainly muslim - a lot of arabic.

The attack on the synagogue in Melbourne yesterday is abhorrent, but Netanyahu can piss off with his linking of it to our country's international stance on Palestine.

Concentrate on your own shit contribution to the world mate. Not in any position to criticise other leaders.
He’s worried about a minnow country not supporting his even smaller one? He can get ****ed.

Bob Carr who knows better than anyine here, explained it very clearly. The Israel lobby give monetary donations to parties and free holidays for MPs and journalists. This buys them the influence they need on Australian policy.
No shit.
Why do you think USA is abstaining from every UN vote.
The Jewish influence in American politics is gigantic

Israel’s president has told Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to take “firm and strong action” against antisemitism, as he condemned a surge of attacks on the Australian Jewish community that culminated in arsonists firebombing a Melbourne synagogue.

Isaac Herzog said he spoke to Albanese after the attack on the Adass Israel temple, condemning “an intolerable wave of attacks on Jewish communities in Australia and around the world”, echoing remarks from the country’s foreign minister, Gideon Sa’ar.

“I noted to the prime minister that this rise and the increasingly serious antisemitic attacks on the Jewish community required firm and strong action, and that this was a message that must be heard clearly from Australia’s leaders,” said Herzog, whose position is roughly equivalent to Australia’s governor-general, in a post on X.

“I thanked him for his ongoing efforts to combat antisemitism, and expressed my trust that the local law enforcement would do everything in their power to bring the perpetrators to justice.”

Can you imagine our GG giving Netanyahu a ring to scold him for not being pro-Australian enough in his condemnation of attacks on Australians?

What a bizarre situation.

For Israel, none of these facts matter. In the mind of Israeli President Isaac Herzog, often perceived as a ‘moderate’, the “rhetoric about civilians not [being] involved [is] absolutely not true”. They are legitimate targets, simply because they “could’ve risen up, they could have fought against that evil regime”, he said, referring to Hamas.

Therefore, “It is an entire nation out there that is responsible,” according to Herzog, who promised payback.

interesting how this country has such an interest in "our" citizens...

I know we've had the indian govt concerned about indian students safety while they are studying here, but they are indian nationals. I've never heard about the indian gov't expressing its concerns about australian citizens who were born in india....

funny about that...

The need for external funding is far more integral to the USA system.
Gun Lobby, Jewish Influence, and add a dozen more.

It shouldn't be so easy to influence Australian political parties, but hey, they try.
Our advertising is getting more and more expensive each election, and there are calls to apply a cap. I'd support that.

Prime Minister simply has to reinforce that we should not hold the wider Jewish population responsible for the psychotic shittery of the Israeli Government . Thanks Mr President for reminding us that you don't represent all the Jews only the wackjobs.

Younger people are also accessing their news from wider sources and not just getting the sanitised western version of events.

We’re seeing a shift in attitudes towards Israel where as a major ‘ally’ of many western countries people are recognising they’re doing horrendous things.

Netanyahu and co like to link Israel = Jews so that any criticism of one is criticism of the other, and given the history of the Jewish people and the horror of the holocaust there’s a lot of inbuilt reticence to attack of label Jews.

But Israel isn’t Jews. Israel is a nation state the same as any other, and can be criticised for their actions the same as any other.

That the valid criticism of Israel acts as a shield for your genuine antisemitic cohorts to direct attacks at Jews, isn’t a good reason to give Israel a free pass from criticism.

Israel is a nation state like Iran and many others that put the adherents of one religion ahead of any other.

Its called the Basic Law. Search it. Israel specifically states in its Basic Law that Israel is for jews.

I know this, the point being that Iran is a nation state and can be criticised as a nation state irrespective that it’s a religious theocracy.

If Iran makes choices to cause harm to other nations, crying ‘Islamophobia’ isn’t - and shouldn’t - be a shield from criticism.

Israel lecturing australia on public safety? Not sure if serious

That’s a fellow traveller to naziism
