So yeah.
Have we heard both of those from the respective horses' mouths?Just pay him out FFS. He doesn't want to be at North, we don't want him at North. Call it long service, he deserves it, got every last ounce of ability out of himself.

Fair enough. Pick up your game, Gold Coast.
Just pay him out FFS. He doesn't want to be at North, we don't want him at North. Call it long service, he deserves it, got every last ounce of ability out of himself.
Exactly. With gibson and LT going we need some wise old heads around the place and to help with the VFL. Could be a good transition for him.He can lead our new reserves team and then live into a development coaching role.
Lennon saga??The Lennon saga looks like going down to the wire. Hopefully it gets ticked off before 2pm.

Surely it's as simple as GC want him, in which case North make it happen, or they don't, in which case he plays out his final year with North with a fair bit of time in the twos helping develop the young guys. No use paying Swallow out just to free up a list spot - already plenty available for this draft.I wouldn't equate, "wants to play with his brother", with "doesn't want to be at North"
It's not as if he's busting his arse to get to the other 16 clubs.
FFS you either want him or you don't. How long do they need to "weigh things up".'We've got a few things to weigh up there'

We certainly know he's a solid citizen, but we've got to make the decision based on the whole group and the whole club
Stuart Dew on Andrew Swallow
GOLD Coast coach Stuart Dew has hinted the Suns are unlikely to recruit former North Melbourne captain Andrew Swallow and pair him with his brother David.
Swallow aired his desire to leave Arden St during October's NAB AFL Trade Period after the most difficult season of his career, during which he was dropped twice and fell behind younger options.
The 30-year-old has one season to go on his contract, but the Kangaroos are willing to delist him before Thursday's 2pm second list lodgment deadline.
That timeline would enable Swallow to nominate for this year's drafts and most likely become a Sun through the rookie draft.
Otherwise, the triple Syd Barker medallist is likely to endure another tough season at North, which is in rebuilding mode and keen to blood its ever-growing list of young midfielders.
"He's shown some interest and we've obviously had discussions with Andrew, and Dave as well, but we've got a few things to weigh up there," Dew said on RSN927's breakfast program.
"We certainly know he's a solid citizen, but we've got to make the decision based on the whole group and the whole club.
"He's still attached to North, but I think that's just going to play out. It won't be an Andrew Swallow decision; it will be more a club decision and where he's at in his career.
"It won't just be my decision as well. We've obviously got list management, footy sub-committee … lots of discussions have been had on that lately and we'll get somewhere."
Swallow fought back from his VFL demotions to play in the Roos' last 10 games and perform well, averaging 21.5 disposals (11.1 contested), 6.4 tackles and 5.8 clearances.
North already delisted fellow veteran Lindsay Thomas, who also had a year to run on his contract and is set to join Port Adelaide as a rookie.
