Im guessing he doesn't. What I am also guessing he doesn't know is that if we had of placed Boomer on the LTI two weeks ago and elevated Garlett then Garlett has to be on the senior list for a minimum of 8 games which means that even if Boomer was ready to go within say 4 weeks he couldn't be played.

You do realise that we can now elevate him to the senior list as round 11 has passed?

Who gets the chop though?

I don't think anyone has to get the chop. I stand to be corrected, but I think there has been a change to the rules which now allows clubs to add a rookie-listed player to the senior list after round 11 at no other player's expense.

His coaching today was rubbish!

We got 5 goals up by playing attacking footy. So Dean in his wisdom gets 5 goals up and trys to shut the game down.

I'd love to read what you thought the coach did differently after half time to what he did in the first half. You say he shut the game down - how?

I'll help you get started - I remember at one short stage late in the third we had a spare man in defence for about three minutes - that was after they'd been peppering their goals for most of the term. That's all I could see but I'll trust you to come up with more examples.

FWIW when I saw Power and Rawlings in the centre square at the first bounce I was filthy. That's as defensive as it gets in my book. Now what did he do after the long break that was any more defensive than that?

Yep.

He hopefully be elevated in the coming days and should get a game against the Crows.

I thought Laidley coached well today, and events conspired against him.
I thought he did what he could given the circumstances. A lot of people responded in anger yesterday and rightly so, we threw away a healthy lead and then just caved in. But when you consider who was out and then we started dropping like flies towards the end, there wasn't a whole lot Laidley could've done about it. At the end of the day, when you forget all the itsy bits and pieces for a minute, we lost because Koschitzke kicked 6 goals. They won by 7. Would've he kicked 6 on Hansen in the form he was in prior to getting injured? I seriously doubt it. In all honesty, I don't think St.Kilda would hold too many fears for a fully fit North Melbourne.

The shinboner spirit has long been a part of Norths history. Now we only seem to have Laidleys ability to make a pile of duds overachieve. How much of the spirits performance does Laidley get credit for?
Was Laidley only resigned last time so it would be easier to relocate?
Laidley, even though an ex player is not bigger than the club and 1 mans feelings, chance to reap some rewards or rebuild again surely isnt as important as ensuring the future survival and success of our club.
The one off opportunity to grab a highly respected media performer and great football brain in Buckely is upon us and to neglect this situation will likely be a big mistake in hindsight.
Sure, Laidley has done his best, but its just not enough and after the trading debacles, chicken tape, player/coach spats, our forward coach, tagger mentality, percentage, Power, Thomas, Watt, boundary line play, and the many other issues we need CHANGE.
