Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand

I don't really delve much into the ins and outs of NZ politics but from what I do read she's good triggering at conservatives - which is funny because she's formed a coalition with a staunch conservative party.

Regardless that's a good gift that one should never lose.

Yup! I bet no one delves into or cares much about NZ politics...

Unless it is about what name she gave her daughter or what she wore when she met the Queen.

Until you get a real moron in charge like Helen Clark and next thing you know an Armada of kiwis heads to the Gold Coast.

Funnily enough, I heard Helen Clark on radio yesterday. She's in town and they were asking her thoughts on bringing proportional representation into British Columbia.

Why would anyone interview her? Made Joan Kirner look semi rational she was that bad.

As mentioned, I dont think many follow NZ politics. How’d she stay on for almost a decade then??

I think she just happened to be in town for something else. It was a pretty bad interview actually. She basically just said “yep, it was good”.

Actually migration numbers out of NZ rose after she left

That's hardly limited to Arden or even females.

Indeed.

Macron and Trudeau get it as well.

No-one ever gave a toss about what Thatcher looked like, other than to cariacture her (which happens to all pollies).

Im not saying female politicans dont get it worse (they do) but the door does swing both ways.

In fact I recall when Gillard got in, my fellow Leftists (at our annual meeting where we all collude with how to form a world government, disarm the population, fake global warming, and Islamify the West) were all getting stuck into her for her appearance and voice.

I pointed out to them that when Howard was in power, they only ever criticised him for his politics and never for how he looked (and he looks ridiculous).

Now don't confuse the poor old dear with facts. It upsets his drivel flow.;)

Ignorant balatron.

Numbers rocketed under her until Australia changed the rules re access to welfare. Numbers since havent reached the peak under her in 2000/1

A diabolically useless woman.

Not Really one of the first thing she said as PM was capitalism and the market economy were blatant failures, she's from the far left.

Meds and his neo con rants are fun when they are nothing but hyperbole because he just can't stand anyone with ideas of fairness and humanity. Also he's usually wrong too, again in this case.

For the last 10 odd years she was head of the major UN development arm in NYC.

She might've been deputy undersecretary or whatever the UN third-in-rank is called for a while.

Eyebrows, bottom lip and green and gold Aussie tracksuit.

You've either got a shit or selective memory.

New Zealand’s Acting Prime Minister Winston Peters said the Australian government was in breach of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child by detaining the 17-year-old New Zealand citizen in the Melbourne Immigration Transit Centre in Broadmeadows since March.

[...]

Mr Peters, NZ’s foreign minister who is standing in while Jacinda Ardern is on maternity leave, said he had raised the issue with the Australian government.

“This person is regarded as a child or a minor, and I’m just reminding the Australians – you’re a signatory, live up to it,” Mr Peters told reporters on Tuesday.

“We are joint signatories, along with many other countries, to UN conventions where children are concerned.

“They are clearly in breach of it. There’s no complication. They know that, we know that.”

Thread is about NZ.

Your post to which I was referring to was about a previous prime minister and not about business confidence

#anothermedusalafail #over1000now

I see you're getting use of that word a day calendar.
