Found guilty of an offence, not a citizen, shouldn't be in immigration detention - should be back in NZ already. There should be no appeals for foreigners who commit an offence of any type. Entry into Australia (for non citizens) is a privilege not a right and should be able to be withdrawn at any time. Still it shows our good our relationship is with NZ that this type of low level crap is the worst problem we have.

Law and order is typically the raison d'etre of conservatives so I imagine the New Zealand first party have their mits all over this one.
I know it won't effect everyone and there needs to be prior suspicion but as a massive privacy advocate these moves always leave me uneasy.

Why do people think she has handled herself so well? This is a Wedding thank you speech you can't go wrong with constant appeasement, "woe is us", sad face and thoughts and prayers nonsense especially when the media casts you as a saint when you do it. It isn't necessarily, but the "speed" at which they acted which is being hailed as good governance is anything but its not as though banning it today as opposed to in a months time or 3 months time is going to be the difference between another mass shooting or not in NZ.
