Griff’d be there all banged up, Simpkin’d be 2 minutes late and LMac’d be walking around out the front with that daft grin, before walking into the window beside the door and pulling on a door that clearly says push.

With Football version of Chief Wighem outside say all is well nothing to see here
RAWLINGS Again

I recall a lot of the same negative comments when we picked up Jarrad Waite.

Both will be 32 when they play their first game.

I really get supporters frustration at this overall. We have watched the worst team of all time for years under the constant rhetoric that we are rebuilding.

We have botched this so bad we are going after blokes 30 plus an obviously past their best, to fill numerous gaps we should have well filled by now.

In no way can this be sold any other way than a total failure of the whole list management team and this rebuild overall.

But, we need to do it. There is no other choice. We had Pink and Teakle as our second and third forwards last year.

Our only other option is Chom , who is better down back and CCJ who is ordinary and coming off a serious injury.

Darling is a better option than any of the above by a distance (except Chom).

I’m assuming the plan is to draft a young key forward and have Darling up there to help out him and let Larkey do his thing.
Fish, get a grip. It's a disaster. Lol

LOL.

If our scores from D50 weren't bad enough, the combined pressure from that forward line would be 25 goals conceded every game.
For players who played more than 10 games in 2024 Paul Curtis is ranked 12th for average tackles inside 50, Zurhaar 24th. Then daylight. Then Eddie Ford at 113. FWIW Jack Darling is ranked 17th.

That's a significant improvement if Darling can match his output this year.

If not really a fan, neither here nor there honestly, but I can see some value in it.

Went on a bit of a mature player rampage in his last few years at Hawthorn too (Impey, Scully, Hartigan, Wingard, Patton, Frost, Phillips). Not sure his judgement in that space is flawless.
Impey was about 23 when he went to Hawthorn, he's a bloody good player too.

You fellas don't need to give up a pick.

We are using the same concept as Ralph wanted us to do with Baker.

Instead we will apply it to darling.

Pick 2
For
Pick 3 + Darling + Hawks Pick 30/F2

You get darling and picks in returns it's a win win.
Would do that with 2nd round pick swaps. But not first.
